    Default DIY 'Gripe' water

Ok, so this is 'part 2' of my other tummy trouble post. Heh heh.

Has anyone ever made their own Gripe water, or Tummy Tea for babies? I just started making some for Philip and it is great! There are so many recipes out there, I was curious if anyone had tried to make there own, what worked for you? How often did you give it, and how much?
I've been making mine with Chamomile, dill seeds, and fennel seeds. Then a little corn syrup to sweeten it up. He seems to like it alright, and pretty quickly after drinking a bit (about 10-15ml per dosage) he's finally smiling again. I have to say, I'm a true believer in this 'tea'. I don't know what we'd do without it.

This is so interesting! I didn't realize you could make a homemade liquid for babies. I have been giving Sarah a dose of Ovol when she has gas pains. I bet a homemade herbal liquid would be better. Off to do some google research!

Yeah, I didn't realize it either. 1/2tsp of fennel and dill seeds makes 3 cups of tea. Although, I think I'll only keep it in the fridge for about 4-5 days before I replace it with new. I'll probably make a smaller batch next time. You'll have to tell me what you decide to do.
