Anyone going to start taking Evening Primrose Oil to help get ready for labor? I did it with DS2 and must say my labor was 2 weeks early and much quicker/easier than DS1. Anyone else doing anything to help with a quick/easy labor?

I'm considering it, but not sure how I feel about the idea of being all greasy down there. :) I took it orally with DS but I dont thihk it was doing anything. I was induced at 38 5 with him and wasnt even dilating yet.
I have heard of this but have no idea how it works..where to get it., how to use it.. can someone tell me?
I bought mine at the pharmacy at the grocery store. apparently you just poke a hole in the capsule and put it in with clean hands. i'm guessing up high next to your cervix. i'm not sure how many/often though. at night is suppose to be the best and everything dissolves.
Hmmm... didn't last time but maybe.... really would like this one to come a week or so early. Have my first internal on Tue, so I'll see what's doin' down there and ask the doc what they think of it.
I just took mine orally. I read about doing both; inside and out, but I opted for just the one way. LOL I didn't dilate on my own either, but the labor was sooooo much easier and less painful then my first, even with pitocin! I'll have to update this with the amount of capsules you take after I look it up. It was something like, 1 for a week, then 2, to a max of three per day I think? I also drank red raspberry leaf tea. Anything to help that baby come OUT! ;)
