Hi ladies

Hi ladies I'm back. I've been off the boards for awhile. For you who don't know me I'm Carin, DH is Mike we've been married for 5 yrs. I went off BCPs in 4/2009 we were JLIH untill 04/2010 and we got pregnant in 08/2010 and had a miscarriage in Nov. We didn't let it get to us to much. We started trying again in Jan but we lost our insurance so I couldn't go to the doctors. We now have our insurance back and I go on Tuesday. I hope we can start to get some answers. I have type 1 diabetes so I don't know if that is adding problems. My sugars are good I still went to my endo for that but that was $115 every 3 months plus the cost of test strips. I got my insulin for free Thank god cause that would of been $500 a month.

I really would like some help with what to ask my doctor when I see him. Can anyone give me any advise?

Welcome back, Carin! It's good to "see" you again!

Hmm...do you keep a log of your blood sugars? If so I would bring that with you and show it to the doctor.

(if you have the log) I would ask : Does my Diabetes seem to be under control enough to conceive and maintain a healthy pregnancy?
*I would also ask what they would suggest be your best plan of action.
*Do they subscribe and recommend fertility drugs such as Femara, Clomid?

Hi Carin. Michelle has great questions for you, which is good cause I'm not sure what I would ask. :/ I'm hoping you'll get the answers you are looking for. Tuesday is just around the corner. Smile

Hi Michelle

Yes I do keep a log and I will bring it as always. When I got pregnant before my A1c was above 7 and now it's at 6.5 which is good. I always do FF so I was thinking of bring that to, what do you think? I just am really scared that he'll tell me bad news. My family has a lot of female issues. I guess I just wait and see.

Thank you for replying means a lot.

6.5 is excellent, great job on your A1c count! Smile Yeah, I would definitely bring your FF chart, if possible at least 4 or 5 cycles worth, if you have that many.

Michelle- Thank you for great job but it has been a LONG road. The pump did wonders. I have been charting off and on for a year so yeah I have 4 or 5 months.

Well I got answers...I have PCOS and possibly endometriosis. He took a ton of blood today and I go for an u/s on Monday. He also ordered a sa on DH. I also have to do a HSG next cycle. This is all new to me. I am happy that he isn't waiting and we are full swing ahead. He would like to see my A1c at 6.0 I've never had that low of one but I'll be asking what I can do at my endo appt Friday. I have to check with him to see if I can take Metformin for PCOS but with being on insulin I don't know we'll see.

Jina- I hope now we can have some luck. I atleast can get help Smile
