Intro

Hi everyone! My name is Karen, and I just found out we're expecting our 3rd baby! I had a light positive Saturday with a dollar store cheapie and a blazing BFP on Sunday with a FRER, so I am finally believing it is true.

EDD is 12/29!

We have a 3 year old, Malcolm, and a 1 year old, Nora. We're super excited (and a tiny bit nervous) to expand our little crew! We live in Kentucky, and I am a children's librarian. I'm only working PT right now, and will probably need to stay home for a while once this one is born (3 kids in daycare? Totally wiping out a librarian's earnings, believe me.) I find that a little daunting, since I love my job, but I know it will all work out great.

I'm excited to share this time with you all!

I know what you mean about needing to (possibly) stop working due to daycare costs. I made the same decision with DS#4 since the cost of daycare would have taken about 3/4 of my pay. Daycare here in California is super expensive and as a baker/cake decorator I made very little!

ETA I don't know how people afford day care! I only work when it fits my schedule now (freelance writing) and I am so blessed with that flexibility. If I was teaching, I'd probably make just enough to pay for daycare and gas so it'd be like we were just on DH's income anyway.
