Michelle, Hopefully you won't even have to worry about Femara because you'll get a bfp on Clomid!!!
Kate, It sounds like a really good plan and I bet it *does* feel good to finally start treatment. I hope RJ works wonders for you!! Good luck and KUP!!
Stephanie, welcome and good luck! I hope your ttc journey is short and sweet!
Tasha- Whens your IUI???? I cannot waittt!!!
Wish the 2013's would come up!!! Hopefully soon!
Hi Cait!!! My IUI is actually nxt week !! I cant figgin wait to at least try it .. And if it doesnt work which i hope it will i know i can go it again!!
Tasha and Jina- getting so excited for the both of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay!! It's almost IUI time Can't wait to do some major stalking (charts of course!!)
yay for IUI time! And IVF time! This is an important couple weeks coming up!
:wavehello: Hi Cait.... glad we got you back!!!
Mia- I'm hoping that maybe the tech will tell me if he sees a follicle or egg. It is right around the time I "O"!!!
Michelle- How's clomid treating you? Any side effects?
AFM- As I happy as I am for all the amazing BFPs...I think we need our board. I feel in limbo. I don't want to post on here other than this thread, cause it isn't my board anymore. How do we get one? Should I email missy?
Hello ladies! My name is Cathy, and I've been on the June 2008 board for a few years. My little guy is almost 4!! We have JUST started TTC #2. I went to my OB yesterday, and discussed our plans. I started taking my vitamins last night. We got pregnant the first time in about 3 months, so I'm hoping it'll be quick this time, too. I am older (36), so I hope that doesn't have any impact. I look forward to getting to know you!
Kate - Clomid is treating me really, really well. I have been getting twinges in my ovaries (nothing painful, just noticable) and high energy which is awesome because I haven't felt this energetic in years. I just worry that it isn't going to work this month and maybe I won't ovulate at all because when reading on google people had horrible, horrible side effects and me not so much. I go in on April 10 for a follicle scan, so I will find out if I have any eggs or not.
Welcome to the board, Cathy! Looking forward to getting to "know" you and I hope you get your BFP soon!
Hi Cathy !! WELCOME!!
Michelle are u actually on your period and feeling these twinges? Im lost how many times in a cycle do you use clomid? Are you taking one pill or 2
Just figured I'd update while I'm awake for a few minutes. I had the d & c today. The actual procedure didn't seem like such a big deal but somehow they got WAY behind in surgery so I had to wait for about 4 hours...we were there a total of 8 before I was released and I was released pretty quickly after the procedure. I had a pretty horribly embarrassing moment and I went completely hysterical. I threw my glasses across the room and said I was leaving. I got there at 10, was told I'd be taken back an hour before the procedure so I was supposed to go back to anesthesiology at 10:30. It was like 1:00 before I went back and I waited back there at least another hour.
Any time I've had surgery of any kind in the past. You get there and get an IV and they give you valium or something to calm you down first. Well here they only let the anesthesiologist do the IV. So I had to wait hours and hours before I got one, meanwhile getting more and more dehydrated and even more upset. They cane in and said it would be a few more hours and I just lost it. I started sobbing and try to get up and leave and ripped of my blood pressure thing and that's when I threw my glasses. I should couldn't take the wait anymore. I was already so upset. My mom asked to see a nurse in the hall and told them she'd never seen me like that and I couldn't take it anymore. So they finally agreed to let me have some valium which made a big difference.
When I went back finally everyone back there was a great. One of the doctors said she lost her first baby at the same time and came and talked to me a while and held my hand and told m how she learned to deal with it. That meant a lot to me. I'm not in much pain or anything at the moment. Just taking motrin. Getting up to get something is sore and I am bleeding but so far it's not all that different from regular AF.
The doc also said he examined everything and find no reason why this happened. He said I was healthy and the baby was healthy except for it's heartbeat so he really believes it's a fluke and that it won't be hard to get pregnant again on the Femara since it worked first try last time. He didn't prescribe it before but said he would so I could get started as soon as I'm ready once I get my first cycle. Also my mom thought he should know about the people putting me through hell with the wait and he said he would talk to the head nurse that he didn't like that at all. He's a great doc and will definitely be the one I want to deliver my baby in the future.
Emotionally I'm better tonight. I feel like I got some closure and can try to move on. Sorry this was so horribly long...my meds haven't worn off yet. Thank you ladies for all of your wonderful support.
Leah, I can't believe they made you sit there and wait for 4 hours! Wow. I am so sorry that happened. I would have asked for valium, too! And lots of it! Even though most of the physical process is over I'm sure you have plenty of emotional healing to work through. We're here if you ever need to talk. :bigarmhug:
This. I'm glad everything went smoothly once they got you into surgery and that you're feeling better now. We're here whenever you need to vent!
hi, everyone!! I posted on the TTC Buddies: 0-24 months forum but it seems dead over there. anyway, this is our second month TTCing.. unfortunately. I wish it would just be fast.. but I know that's not how it works. anyway, hoping to get a BFP in April
Hi, Nidia! I wish there was more activity on the 0-24 month board because I get tired of board hopping. I check in over there, too, though. Hope you get your BFP in April!
(((((((big hugs))))))) all that waiting would have upset me as well.
Hi! now on my second month TTC. got AF this morning right before i was going to test lol. i hope this is the last month i TTC. (((hugs))) sorry leah. that must have been tough! i hope your better!
Mrs. Furtado, I know how disappointing it is.. but hope we both get our BFPs in April
thank you I get tired of hopping also.. maybe it will start to pick up!
yeah it sucks, but im very optomistic! and i hope we both get our BFP's this month too!
im confused.......i have light cramping but no actual blood yet. i have some light brown spotting but very little. should i still test? maybe its not my AF?
Mrs. Furtado, it could be implantation bleeding. I say wait and see how today goes and test tomorrow.
thanks. this is soooooooo agonizing. i hope its just implantation bleeding. i did read just an hour go that 20% of women often bleed during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. and cramp. sometimes for no reason. i hope im part of that 20%. it would make my year.
Leah- Wow...what a day. I am really glad your mom talked to them. That is absolutely ridiculous what you went through and your reaction was completely normal! People really need to be sensitive about these situations. I'm glad that once you got back there that everyone was great. Sounds like your doc is fantastic. So when did your doc give you the green light to TTC and does that match when you and DH are ready. Big hugs!!! :bigarmhug:
Cathy & Nidia- Welcome! :wavehello: Hope your TTC journey is short and sweet.
Mrs. Furtado- Hope it isn't AF. KUP on what is going on!!!
Michelle- Glad that you're feeling well! And don't worry too much! I want to be due date buddies!!!

Thank you sweetie. So far today is much better. I feel awful about it but knowing it's not inside me anymore is making it easier to move on. Even knowing there was no heartbeat and I was beginning to miscarry it was hard to let go of while it was still inside me. I feel like we can both be more at peace now. My doctor really is fantastic. This just reaffirms what I was already thinking. High risk wanted me to deliver in a different city with a different doc and there were 30 docs and it could have been any of them. I wanted my regular doc and I know now that that's what I'll do next time. It's going to have to be him and I know it even more after this terrible experience. The doc said we could try again as soon as I get my first AF. He said to expect it to be about 6 weeks. He even said he'd go ahead and give me the Femara so I could start it when we're ready. It worked on the first cycle of it last time so I'm hoping we'll get lucky again and that we can move on with the next pregnancy.
Thank you all so much for your support.
~Leah, :bigarmhug: to you.
I took 50 mg of Clomid for 5 days on cycle days 3 to 7. I was feeling twinges while on my period yes. I am feeling a little defeated today because if you take a look at my chart it looks as though I am about to/going to ovulate. Haven't had the chance to BD at all. If I ovulate this early I am going to bawl my eyes out (I did start that side effect yesterday *i.e, feeling very weepy*) because then I am out for this cycle and I just started it. *sigh* I feel like I just can't win this battle, YKWIM? I'm feeling extremely pessimistic today and I hate it :S If Clomid or the Femara doesn't work then I think I am going to give up on TTC because I know DH and I can't afford IVF or IUI I am sure. But, for today I will try to be as optimistic and positive as I can (whether the Clomid makes me emotional today or not)
I'm trying not to worry lol. I want to be due date buddies too!
Leah - I am so glad that you're able to start feeling more at peace with things. It sounds like you have a wonderful doctor and how awesome that they gave you the go ahead to TTC when AF shows and you and DH feel ready.
Michelle - I hope you're still in for this cycle and that the Clomid works! I think anyone would be disappointed to be out of the game before it started, but fingers crossed that's not going to happen!
AFM - I'm a bit surprised to see some ewcm today. It's a little early for me to O but nothing's out of the question. Was a little weirded out when it had some pink/blood to it but we dtd last night so it's probably just aggravation from that. Caught DD's cold which isn't fun but I feel worse for her as she doesn't get why she feels off. Hoping DH will have enough energy to BD more assuming EWCM sticks around. OPKS should be here tomorrow but the stupid tracking info isn't updated gah.
Tasha, omgosh! I can't believe it's almost IUI time!! Getting so excited for you!!
Kate, I know! I want the new 2013 boards up too! I'm sure they're working on it as we speak!
Cathy, I hope your ttc journey is a short one! Good luck!
Michelle, why do you think you're about to O? Your chart looks fine to me. Remember that Clomid can cause your bbt to rise. Also, I didn't have any symptoms on Clomid and when I went in for a follicle scan, I had 4 total follies with 2 mature ones. When is your scan? I'm sorry you're feeling so defeated. Hopefully it's just hormones and you'll feel better soon! ((HUGS))
Nidia, Hi! I hope your ttc journey is short and sweet! Good luck! I hope you get your bfp this month!
Mrs. Furtado, I really hope it's not AF! FX for you!!
Mia, yay for ewcm! Hehe....I always get excited to see fertile cm for some reason...lol. I hope you catch that eggie!
Mia - Sorry you caught a cold, that's no fun I hope you feel better soon!! Also :goodluck: and I hope you catch the egg!
Jina - The Clomid is making me super emotional right now for some reason. But it just seems like my temp keeps going up, and it has been for 3 days, isn't that usually what happens right before O? I guess I am still kind of a charting "virgin" if you will, lol. I didn't realize this could be normal for clomid though, so you gave me hope for sure! My follicle scan is on Tuesday (April 10th) So I am hoping and praying that I will have at least one follicle ready to go and that I am not indeed ovulating early.
Leah - ((((hugs)))) to you hun.
My experience with Clomid was weird. I had different side effects each month. The first month I just had some mild hot flashes. The second month I had mood swings, hot flashes, nausea, sore bbs which convinced me I was pregnant...then I wasn't. The third cycle I did was worse and my mood swings turned into severe rage and I couldn't control anything I was feeling. That was when I decided I needed a break from it. That's also around the time they put me of Femara and I didn't have any side effects on it. Everyone is different though. My RE says that Clomid increases each month even if your dose is the same. He said it takes 60 days to get out of your system. So if you take it one month and it doesn't work and take it again the next month it's like having a double dose of it. I O'd great on it but they think it thinned my lining which is why I never got pregnant on it. Femara is out of your body before you O so it doesn't interfere with implantation or anything. Everyone is totally different and has completely different side effects if any. I've heard of some people loving Clomid and hating Femara but I was the opposite.
Good luck to you ladies on Clomid. I hope this cycle works for you all!
thanks but it was AF but im busy planning my wedding so no biggy. i have next month!
Mrs Furtado - Sorry to hear it was AF but I hope the wedding planning is fun!
Leah - That's interesting how Clomid stays in your system for so long. It sucks to have to go through such a variety of symptoms, but I'm glad your'e figuring out what's working for you. It's got to be so exhausting with all the trial and error stuff.
Michelle & Jina - Thanks! The cold isn't too bad thankfully. DD slept way better yesterday which was a huge help as I was able to do some housework and relax for once. Today my CM is a lot more creamy but it's early so who knows. I'm glad we BD'd when we did but I'm definatly going to take an OPK once they get here today. I hope we have some more time this weekend to cover our bases.
Michelle, I think it's different for everyone. I usually have a temp dip before O. Woohoo! Only few more days until your scan! Sending lots of growing vibes your way!! Come on follies! lol
Mrs. Furtado, sorry about AF! How exciting about your wedding, though! Good luck!
Mia, I'm glad to hear that the cold isn't too bad. Yay! I love using opks...lol. I hope you see a nice dark positive line in a few days. Good luck!
AFM, I'm going to pull my hair out if I have to be on these bcps for much longer! lol My u/s is on Monday and I'm really hoping that the cyst will be gone by then. I kind of doubt it though...the dang thing was pretty big...ugh!
Hey ladies! Omg last nighttttt that clomid and the hot flashes!!!! I thought some one turned up the head and closed all the windows ughh i thought i was going to die!!
Tasha - I am sorry it is giving you horrible hot flashes! I had some hot flashes, but they weren't horrible and I usually get hot flashes along with my seasonal allergies so it wasn't much different than those. I hope your IUI is successful so you won't have to worry about taking Clomid next month!!
Jina - I think my hormones were just in an uproar the past few days because today I feel fine, lol. Feeling more twinges in my ovaries and on both sides too, so it will be interesting to see what my scan shows.
Mia - I'm glad your cold isn't too bad! Hopefully you are on the mend and you will be back to your normal self in no time Also, sending your BFP vibes for your OPK (and for your HPT when the time comes ;))
Mrs. Furtado - Sorry about AF, but congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! How exciting!
Mia, Lily, - thanks im so excited. its a little intimate thing in vegas at a small chapel. we cant afford much more than that right now. weddings are expensive these days!
tasha - sorry about those flashes. i sometimes get those during my AF but i hope you get your BFP soon!
this is hard keeping up with everybody lol
Mrs Furtado - That sounds awesome! We did a small intimate wedding too. My family was willing to spend a decent amount, but we were not comfortable with how outrageously expensive everything was! It turned out great. I hope everything goes amazing for you as well! It is a lot of people to keep up with.
Tasha - That sounds awful. I hope it lets up soon!
Jina - Keeping everything crossed that the cyst will be gone on Monday! Our bodies are capable of awesome things!
Mrs Furtado weddings def are expensive thats why when i got married i did it on a cruise boat so everyone who could afford it was there ! My mom paid for the actual wedding part! So i agree with the small wedding 10000 percentJina we bothe have ultrasounds on Monday!! Looks like we will both start our fertility treatments at the same time!Michelle how long did you take the clomid for ? Af ends on Sunday and i havent felt any twinges or anything like that lol maybe my body is different... I go in for blood work and ultasound on Monday !Mia [/B. Ughh i hope so too !! Well today is my last day on clomid and hopefully my only cycle on it !
Tasha I took Clomid for 5 days on CD 3-7
Mia- yeah. i dont get to have any of my family really. or his. he has a work buddy as a best man and im lucky if my dad can come.
Tasha- that sounds so romantic! im just glad im finally going to the altar with the man i love!
Tasha - How are you feeling today? Is the Clomid still giving you hot flashes?
Mia - I know! When I was planning my wedding, I could not believe how expensive everything was! We had about 105 guests and had the wedding at a church in the city I live in, and then rented a nice banquet hall for the reception but man once you count in the dress and the cake and every other detail the price tag really goes up!
Mrs Furtado - No matter how many people are able to show up for the wedding, it will be beautiful anyways, I am sure
Michelle yesterday was my last day on clomid but i was getting hot flashes today at work tho i guess its the remaining what ever haha!! Im so excited to get the ultrasound on monday though
DH is an amazing hubbyy he is treating me to a mani pedi and massage !! He knowsss i need this
Tasha - Sorry you are still getting the hot flashes But :goodluck: on your ultrasound on Monday!! It's nice that your hubby is going to be treating you to those! Enjoy, it sounds amazing
Thx Michelle!! Are you doing an IUI or are you taking the clomid and trying at home ?
I need to pop over here more often. Tasha/Jina, just wanted to wish you girls ~GoodLuck~ on your u/s on Monday!! Eeeee I can't wait to hear the updates! Jina, the nasty cyst better be gone. D@mn thing!
Tasha/Jina...I'll be peeking in tomorrow to check on the u/s results.
Happy Easter everyone!
