    Default Muscle Cramps?

Anyone else been having issues with muscle cramps lately? I get them in my legs quite often at night--especially on the nights after I had taught a difficult cycling class--but I'm also getting them in other areas too. The other day I was leaning down to look at my dog's injured foot and I got a muscle cramp in my neck! ACK! Then the area was sore for the rest of the day. So weird. I have a doc appointment Wednesday and I plan to ask about muscle cramps but wondered if anyone else had them?

When you say muscle cramps, do you mean like charlie horses? If so I got a horrible one in my foot, of all places. Ugh was it bad. Then I almost had one in my calf but stopped it before it took over. I hate those things! I know they say potassium helps keep them at bay, or drinking Gatorade.

I have a couple of times, especially if I'm not as hydrated as I'd like. I have heard good things about potassium for that too. I was under the impression that bananas were great for workouts because they act as a sort of muscle relaxant.

Yes, Charlie Horses! Hmm... I probably am dehydrated and I track my potassium and know that I'm under the recommended amount most days so maybe that's it. It's no fun!
