Who's dealing with Sandy (in one form or another) in the next few days? What (if anything) have you done to prepare? Are you nervous about it or thinking your area won't be hit as hard as they are predicting?
. . . maybe I should have thought of this post pre landfall.
We're *supposed* to get high winds and maybe even some snow here in my part of Ohio. Right now, the winds are really blowing but only in gusts. I guess the storm was down graded a little so maybe we'll be lucky. I would be happy to see a little snow in the morning.
We were very lucky. No water in the house and we kept power the whole time. We've been cooped up in the house with daycare closed so I'm hopeful that things return to normal tomorrow and DD can go to school and I can get some work done. Last year we had big problems with Irene so it was nice to be one of the fortunate ones this time around.
I'm glad both of you didn't have anything major to deal with (assuming the predictions were right for your area Marie). I am so impressed with our power company. It's just a state wide co-op but they update like crazy during storms. We were expecting to be without power for a few days (it went out around 5 pm yesterday) and it was restored around 24 hours later.
Thinking of everyone who may be dealing with Sandy.
