Thread: sad sad story

One of my best friends from college found out on 6/17 that her dad has pancreatic cancer. In less than 30 days from his first symptoms he passed away. She is 38 weeks pregnant with her first child (his first grandchild) and the funeral is this weekend. Life just isn't fair. If you can tack on an additional name to your nightly prayers, please think of my friend Lori and send some her way.

That is very sad. I will definitely pray for her.

Oh Kristy. I am soooo sorry to read this. Pancreatic cancer took my dad when he was only 36, so I totally understand how quick and unexpected it is. I'll pray that she *knows* he will always be there with her and her new LO, watching over them. I know it def can never be as comforting as him being there.....

That's awful. I have a parent who was lucky enough to survive cancer thanks to a transplant last year, but I remember how horrified we all were in the process. I can't imagine what she's going through. Will keep her in my t&p.
