Scared for Twins

I'm convinced that I'm having twins. Maybe it's the BFP at 9DPO. Maybe it's the fact that I'm having MS with this one and didn't before. Maybe it's the yeast infection (surge of hormones could be the cause - and wouldn't it be a bigger surge if it were 2?). Maybe it's the fact that I feel like I already have a belly and my pants don't fit.

I honestly don't know what we would do if it were twins. Daycare here is so expensive. If it were twins I think we'd have to do something drastic... like have one of us quit out job... or make some alternate arrangements like getting work to agree to let me work 4 10hr days and then get my in-laws to do a day so that we would only need to pay for 3 day weeks.

I know there is no use in stressing about it - what will be will be - and in the end it will be a blessing. But geez...

Kristy, what ever will be will be is right! I think each pregnancy is waaay different, so who knows? Do twins run in your family at all? If I had twins.... Omg! Time to build an addition on our house. Lol. Wink Can't wait to see if your first intuition was right.

Have you made your first Dr's appointment yet? Once they do the u/s, then at least you will know and can either feel relieved or start planning for two. I know it's hard not to stress about things like that though. I mean, lets face it: We don't have control over lots of things that our bodies do and that's scary! All we can really do is eat right, cut out the bad stuff, go to the Dr, and hope for the very best when it comes to our pregnancies.

Just breathe! If it makes you feel any better, I already have a bit of a belly and my pants are tight too.

LOL Me too! WTH? I haven't even been eating a lot. I've been throwing up for heaven's sake.

Any chance you are further along than you think? That would explain the early BFP and the early MS

I just wanted to say that I know exactly how you feel. We did injectables and iui when we got pregnant with DS. I had 4 great follies and was sure there were at least two. Which was totally scary!! I got a very obvious BFP in the evening on 10dpo. The ms hit FULL FORCE on 11 DPO. And my belly was so bloated in the evenings that I looked 4 months pregnant. DH even took a pic of my huge belly and it's totally shocking still. Haha. But when we went in for our u/s at 6.5 weeks there was one perfect little bean with a perfect hb!

I hope you have a similar story to share in a few weeks!! Fingers crossed for you and I'm still so excited for your BFP!! I'll be stalking Wink

I feel the exact same way and worried about the same thing. Am actually having an ultrasound in a couple days partially to verify the possibility I could be another month along. I told my husband to feel my tummy the other night, it was so bloated and hard. It is crazy to me to look 4+ months pregnant and be 7 weeks. Had to dig out pants 1-2 sizes bigger to get by.

:goodluck: I hope it turns out to be a singleton! I myself would like twins, but I'm a glutton for punishment. I think DH would be overwhelmed!

We would be very overwhelmed. We are both planners. DD and this LO were 100% planned and only after we knew we were ready. Oh the suspense! First appointment isn't until 4/30.

I agree that what will be is what will be. It's so scary to think of something like that in that there's the "unknown" factor. I hope your blood work and appointment can set your mind at ease!

As much as part of me would love twins, it's completely intimidating to think about.

I was terrified I was going to have twins too, we did clomid+ovidrel trigger and I had two eggs ready to go so there was a chance of it happening. I had my first u/s 2 weeks ago and it was just one, so even with two eggs there is no guarantee both are going to get fertilized! KUP, I don't think we have any twins in December yet right?
