As Seen On TV

I need a distraction until 2013 boards are up. Let's talk about products you have seen on TV, and bought. We can give our personal reviews.

This!! I LOVE it! It saves me sooo much time when I have to chop/dice bunch of veggies. Plus, I love how uniform in shape the veggies are when I use it! Very pretty! lol

Jina, I'll have to look at that closer.

My MIL bought a Montel Williams glorified blender off TV for $300+!!!! Biggest waste of money EVER! The first time she used it, it sounded like it was going to blow up and kill us. Wink

I've bought lots of little things (and can't remember any specific names).

I bought the closet extenders, those hooks that hold multiple hangers. I bought the bra dohickies that make a normal bra have a racing back. I have bought the vacuum suction garment bags, love them! They have allowed me to keep and store all the kids clothes in our tiny storage room. Oh and I bought a knock off Schticky years ago. They work quite well and are easy to clean.

I keep seeing the Baby Bullet and wondering about it as I make all my own baby food. With my first 2 kids I just used a blender though and it worked well... maybe I should just skip the bullet and save my money.

Oohhh... I like this thread.

The Chef Basket = not good. It didn't lay in the pot right. The little triangular pecies came off of the basket.

The Ped Egg works. I don't use it that much, but it really does get rid of tough dead skin on feed.

Melissa- I want the Baby Bullet. I have heard mixed reviwes on it, but it still really appeals to me. I saw it at Bed, Bath, & Beyond too.

This is fun! I can't say that I have ever really bought anything exciting off of a TV Ad. I bought my DS one of those Happy Napper pillows. They are like pillow pets with sound effects. He really wanted one. I also ordered Proavtiv when I was pregnant with DS b/c I started to breakout like never before. It helped me out during and after that pregnancy!

What a fun thread!

I haven't bought anything off TV, but we've picked up some kitchen things here and there that were in a SOTV section. I seriously thought about ordering a Snuggie so I could stay warm while reading downstairs at night, but when 99% of the reviews said it was no better then an oversized robe only backward I saved my money.

I want a baby bullet so bad! I have a blender/food processor but it's not the best and while I loved making most of DD's baby food, it was not as easy as the Baby Bullet looks with it's self storage containers etc. I'm just glad the in store prices are better then TV!

Hmmmmmm…. Okay here is my list. I think it looks like we watch too much TV. LOL, actually we really don’t. I just sometimes see these things in stores and am tempted to try. And DH picked most of these.

Genie bras- http://www.geniebra.com/?gclid=CIPhvPK7ra8CFWcHRQod1l_xqQ These are SO freaking comfortable. I only wear them at night, to the gym, or around the house on weekends. I am a firm believer in not going out of the house unless your BBs are held up where they belong. For the record, I take the padding out because I already am big.

Proactiv- I am currently using it. DH ordered me some after my BFP when my face exploded into pizza land. I can only use 1x per day because I am extremely sensitive but I think I am going to keep using it. It is awesome. I noticed at first it made me really red, and this am, my skin is way to dry. I don’t know what the right balance is for me.

The Vitamix- http://www.amazon.com/Vitamix-5200c-WARRANTY-Variable-Countertop/dp/B004F9L4EI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1334170484&sr=8-3 Okay, this was DHs purchase. I thought spending that kind of money was INSANE. But now that we have it, I would never not want one. We actually got a great deal on ours through the company. We bought a used one for $100, and then when the company had a “upgrade” sale, we bought a new one and received an awesome discount for returning our old one. We make ice cream, soup, frappe’s, a ton of things.

Bra hooks- those little hooks to make your bras have the racer back. I like these especially for tank tops etc. It even gives me a little umph in my cleavage.

Bikini touch - https://www.asseenontv.com/bikini-touch/detail.php?p=368384&v=new-arrivals I actually like it. I hate being hairy. LOL.

Egg thing - https://www.asseenontv.com/eggies/detail.php?p=304271&v=new-arrivals DH bought this stupid thing. It did not work and got thrown away quickly.

Containers- https://www.asseenontv.com/always-fresh-containers/detail.php?p=293057&v=clearance These didn’t really work well for us.

I've bought a few things off of the TV.

One Sweep - http://www.amazon.com/As-Seen-On-2174-12-Sweep/dp/B000H1RMWQ Really great for cleaning cement floors and porches, especially if you wanna spray them down you can just kinda "squeegee the water off with one side and scrub it down with the other. Also great for cleaning up liquid spills and dirt in the kitchen, or getting that hard to get pet hair off the carpet (or under the bed) that the vacuum won't get up. My only grievance is the rubber gives out after about 7 years and the scrub part falls apart.

Magic Bullet - http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Bullet-MBR-1701-17-Piece-Express/dp/B001WAKFDY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334526873&sr=8-1 Good for making salsas, guacamole, mixed drinks, pureeing, and more. Works fairly well, but if you put too much in it won't chop right. Annoying to hand wash, but dishwasher safe.

Bender Method: AKA "Bender Ball" - http://www.amazon.com/Bender-Ball-Mini-Ab/dp/B001J1WQ5G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1334527230&sr=8-2 Actually a really good workout if you can stick with it, I completely lost my spare tire doing this + cardio before I had DS.

Miyashi Massaging Pillow http://www.amazon.com/As-Seen-On-T-V-Massaging/dp/B00592QCUG/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1334527481&sr=1-1-catcorr I bought my mom this for her birthday, she likes it and it's cordless. Great to help with leg circulation.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something but I don't know what....

OMG - how did we forget - THE SNUGGIE!!! http://www.mysnuggiestore.com/?tag=im|sm|go|tm&a_aid=011&a_bid=bc305a78

Love it. I did modify the sleeves (hem) because it's one size fits all and the sleeves were way too long. I work from home and was actually using while I was working when my office was in the cold basement.
