St. Paddy's Day plans?

Anyone doing anything fun or green related today? Any fun St Paddy's day projects you might have worked on with your kiddos? Please share!

Yesterday, hubby had a nice giant Shamrock shake from Mickey D's. Does that count? Wink

LOL Marie!! I've been wanting to try that. How was it? Is it mint flavored?

As for me, had family stuff today. We're irish so we use it as an excuse to get together. Then it's my best friends birthday, so we are all going out on the town. I'm having my one green beer (cause mandy said I could..hahaha)!!!

Enjoy your night ladies!!! :stpatricks:

Those cupcakes are rockin! I wish I had done something for St Paddy's this year but I didn't Sad We made a taco ring I saw on pinterest but I ended up with a migrane so we went to bed early. Not much excitement lol

*Jumping in here :0)*

I normally would have gone to the NYC parade, but since it was such a nice day AND a Saturday, I knew it would be waaayyyyyy crowded. Too much work for preggo me and 2 y/o. DH worked a 24 hour shift so my mom came up to visit. We all got dressed in green and shamrock stickers and when to a farm with MIL and DD's 1 y/o cousin (she was babysitting). When we came home DD snacked on some Irish Soda Bread (not home made, Mom brought some up), and she settled for a nice long nap! (a very exciting part of the day bc we just took away her paci's this weekend and Friday's nap time was an epic fail). I made Shepard's Pie for dinner. 1st time trying = not bad, but needs a little work. Then MIL and FIL came over with some bread pudding for dessert.
I was a little upset that I didn't go down to parade after watching some on tv, but my father and a few others that did confirmed my thoughts about the over crowding so I didn't feel too bad.
So a good day in the end :0)

Tasha - do you know about the McLean Ave parade next week? It's going to be Huge from what I'm hearing. You should come by and check it out. I'll be marching :0)

Hi Deidre, sounds like an awesome day, even if no parade. Seth is still paci-ing it up. :/ It's gonna be rough when I take them away.

Kate, hope that green beer was yummy! I love beer. Smile

Mandy, hello awesomeness!!! Those cupcakes are fabulous. Your friend has some talent for sure.

I took my kids to a party in the park. They had a few stages with live bands, Irish dancers, etc. It was a lot of fun but DH had to work, sadly, and of course I was probably the only adult there not drinking... There was also a total quiverful family there with a dad babywearing and my ovaries twitched lol.

Kate- how was your beer?

Mandy- those cupcakes are ADORABLE. I love them.

Crystal- how is the migraine today?

Deirdre- yummmmmmmmmmmmmmy shepards pie. I love that.

Marie- no fun for you?

Sarah- the party in the park sounds fabulous.

AFM- Oh ladies, I cooked 2 crock pot meals, did my grocery shopping with 2 of the 3 boys, and then went to Chinese for dinner. After that we watched a dumb movie, and I fell asleep. It was quiet for us as DH was working. (For the record, I am having corn beef tonight)!

Kim, can I come over tonight for corned beef? That sounds tasty and I didn't get any.
We didn't do anything 'green' at all. Since my hubby was home (rarity) I cleaned cleaned cleaned. Blah, right? I think I'm out of it this week. :/
