I decided to go into ER last night when DH came home, I was getting painful Braxton Hicks and I was just fed up. Mum said to ring the Midwife to find out what part of the hospital to go to so I did and her response was basically that I should stay at home and not spread my germs around. She said it was normal to have painful Braxton Hicks with a tummy bug....DH didn't like that response so he just took me to ER.

When I got there they said I was really dehydrated and put me in a bed right away. I had an IV set up for fluids, then they gave me Ondansetron (Yay!!) It didn't take away the nausea completely but it helped soooo much and after the fluids I felt human again. Once fluids had been in for about 30mins BH stopped and I haven't felt any since. So glad I went in, as they also gave me a months worth of Ondansetron for my M/S too. Yay!

I'm so glad you're doing better and have some extra nausea medication just incase! While I wasn't pregnant I felt like death when I had the norovirus and was also really dehydrated. It's amazing what fluids and anti nausea meds can do!

I just read this post! I am so sorry you have been so sick! That sounds awful!
Your DH is awesome to have made you do to the ER! Sometimes an IV can make a world of difference when you can't get any liquid down. I hope you continue to get better & better from here on out.
