YI (TMI) Ewwww

I'm not sure what's going on down there, but maybe a yeast infection? I'm itchy, but no yucky CM so not sure. What do I do? I'd be hesitant to put anything down there b/c I don't know if it's safe while pg. So strange. Don't know what brought it on. I usually only get them if I'm taking an anti-biotic.

I know I know... totally TMI...

I'd give my doctor a call and see what they think!! I'd be hesitant about using anything also!

I'd call the doctor's office too just to get their opinion and whether or not you'd need an appointment and what you can/can't take to treat whatever is going on if anything.

This is personal question and you don't have to answer, but have you DTD lately? The only reason I am asking is b/c I noticed something similar right after I got my positive HPT. I realized that I was just more sensitive "down there" and DTD was bothering me for some reason. I had they same sort of symptoms you are describing but no CM. Now I am fine though... I don't know. I would call the Dr if you think it's a YI so that they can tell you what to take.

Not too recently... but maybe that could be it. Ugh. Just annoying.

It could be some sort of a bacterial thing. With the hormones your PH changes, and some natural bacteria can go out of control. I suggest calling your doc. May warent getting checked out. You really arent supposed to use a med that you put up there, but can take something oraly. Hang in there, hopefully this too shall pass.

This is a theory. I only ever get them when I go on anti-botics so I was scratching my head on how it happened. We'll see. I might try to tough it out....

I thought i had a YI just after I got my Bfp, dr said use any cream you like just not the oral treatments as they are not proven safe for pregnancy. I ended up getting a 6 day cream, used it once and it was gone. This tells me it wasn't a YI. I now have the same itchy feeling now and weird CM, I don't know... Whatever it is the trush cream helped with the itchiness!

Hope it works itself out for you! But rest assured it is fine to use a thrush cream and if you are still worried call your dr. There is no point in being uncomfortable Smile

I had never had a YI before my pregnancy with DS4. You can be more prone to them during pregnancy. I ended up getting 2 with DS5. My doc said to sue an OTC YI cream just like you would otherwise. I was worried about inserting anything up there but both my doc and my friend's hubby who's a doc assured me it's safe. A word of advice though. They can be harder to get rid of while pregnant. So, do not use the 1 or 3 day treatments. They usually won't kick it completely. I found this out the hard way. Used the 3 day one and ended up having to do the 7 day one anyway. Good luck and hope you get some relief!

Thanks guys. Of course I didn't call the doc Fri b/c it didn't seem that bad, now I'm kicking myself. Guess maybe I'll go get a cream.
