BIG BIG baby!!

So, I just had an u/s with my MFM. Little Miss Aarilyn isn't so 'little'!! haha...according to my actual due date I'm 29 wks, but little miss here is measuring 34 weeks on everything except the length of her legs which only measure 29 wks. Her head is measuring 34 wks side to side and 36 wks front to back. According to the u/s she is weighing in at 4 lbs, 4 oz. HUGE!! No wonder I'm feeling like an elephant! Biggrin Her proportions are exactly like DS's. My MFM reassured me that the reg o.b. I'm switching to is just as good as the one I have, and she has worked closely with him before. So that was good.

So, YAY! I have another appt in 3 wks and then I start 2x/wk appts for bio-physicals on baby w/ the MFM.

Biggrin

They won't say that they will take her before 39 wks...but I'll be very surprised if they let me go beyond 37 wks (provided I get another amniocentesis to check for lung development of course) I'm hoping to make it to 37 wks and not have her before so we don't have to go through all of the preemie tests on this ginormous baby, the way we had to with DS who was taken at 36 wks.

I read something that said they are labeling full term at 39 weeks- 40weeks 6 days and that early term will be 37-39 or something like that. They are getting pretty set on 39 week gestation. IDK. Good luck! Smile

That is def true Maddie, but b/c I'm a very high rish diabetic it'll be very surprising if I go past 37 wks bc as my dr has said "nothing good happens for your kind of diabetic babies in utero after lung development is complete."

So, that's why I'm saying I highly doubt I'll go past 37ish wks. Biggrin Who knows though, I can always be surprised.
