Can't shake this feeling

I am having this continuous feeling that baby is probably gonna be coming pretty early. I mean like soon. :/ I have had some irregular contractions and waves of back pain occasionally but that's all. There isn't like a real reason I should be concerned but I just have this feeling that won't go away. Idk. It's weird!

Maybe see if you can get in to see your dr and have them do a pelvic just to check. I have a feeling mine will be here sooner rather than later also. Im half way thinking before thanksgiving. As long as she is 36 weeks I will be ok with that. KUP on what if anything happens or you can get in to see your dr.

I personally give a lot of credit to mothers intuition, so there could be something to your gut feeling. That said, being early is relative and it doesn't necessarily mean your LO will be so early it's dangerous. My advice would be talk to your doctor and as someone else said, maybe ask for a pelvic check. Back pain can be contractions, but at this point in pregnancy it can also be from the weight of your stomach.

A lot of times mommies feel silly calling the doc with their fears. Don't. If you feel like the contractions are regular at all, call. It can be possible to stop preterm labor and keep LO baking longer, but not after a certain point. IMO it's better to go in for "nothing" than to stay home when it really is something.

Don't ignore your gut instinct. I would at least talk with your OB. My contractions have been picking up. I get a cervical exam and a fetal fibronectin(a swab of your cervical area--predicts if labor can be expected within 1-2 weeks)every time I go to doc!! Started at 27 weeks for me. I think a cervical exam would be helpful at this point. Hang in there.

I second all of the above. Smile It is better to find out just in case so you can prevent baby from coming too early, even if it means everything is actually okay and your worries are unfounded. My o.b. always tell me that nothing is to silly or insignificant to call about. Better safe than sorry.

Hope it all goes well for you and baby is able to stay baking as long as possible!!

Hey ladies. Thanks for your advice. I would feel silly calling the doctor because I honestly have no reason to worry or feel that way. :/ IDK I have an appointment next Wednesday. So I was just gonna talk about my concerns then. My doctor will be out of town so I will actually be seeing someone else. I haven't had a pick up in contractions. The most I had was the night after we DTD 2x during the day. We haven't DTD again because DH is sick.

i also agree with everyone - listen to the gut instinct....we have it for a reason. But def. bring it up to the dr if you're thinking about it, maybe find out when you'll get checked, etc...... My guess is DTD had something to do with the discomfort....

Lol. No. but I rarely have a libido and we've been having some "sex issues" and so when the mood came we took advantage of it. lol. It rarely happens that way. We mostly have just had sex 1x/week and that's because I want to do it for him.

You're a wonderful wifey! I want to do it for him but with the contractions and her positioning have just made it near impossible. We DTD'd about a week ago which was the first time in about 8 weeks.

I have a couple times in the last week. I think thats part of my pain. First time during any of my pregnancies that I have been able to. I am a weird one I could almost all day every day as long as shes not awake or going crazy. lol

Lol. I have zero libido. Although it's kinda improving.

Roxi- 8 weeks!? That's crazy!! well.... shoot

I get about the contractions. we are waiting to DTD again until after we have our appointment on wednesday to make sure its okay because it set off a ton of contractions the few times we've done it lately. So... yep.

Ok, tbh it's not only my fault that we don't dtd as often. DH takes sleeping tablets and doesn't often think ahead. I don't like to dtd after the tablets have kicked in for him - it's really awkward and weird. But he admitted he hasn't been trying to initiate anything because of my condition.

Is he afraid that hes going to hurt you? Or hurt the baby? Or the baby feel it or something. I know some guys are really weirded out by pregnancy and others its a HUGE turn on.

nah, it's not that he's scared. He doesn't like the rejection Blum 3 so he leaves it up to me to initiate. But then inevitably he will have taken his sleeping tablet and will be all goofy and zonked when I'm in the mood. Not on the same page very often....

He hasn't seemed to have that fear of hurting the baby, except when the belly started getting bigger he thought he was squashing us both (me and the baby) so we just changed position.

8 weeks is nothing- it's been months- but I'm high risk and although we both want to, we are both scared- once I get further along ill probably initiate it- as in like the day before I'm due...lol. We are very open about it and I do other things for him, but our babies health is far more important

I would do other things for DH but because Squishy sits so low down I can't bend my legs at the hips without great discomfort or Squishy punching me to shreds so kneeling/all fours is not a feasible position for me.... we can barely snuggle spoon-style because of it.
