    Question Crampy feelings

I'm probably just being super paranoid but can anyone tell me if a tight, crampy feeling at the base of my belly (just above the pubic bone, right across from left to right) is normal? I don't have any spotting or noticeable back ache. But this feeling has been there for a couple days now and it's making me anxious. The best way I can describe it is a cross between a very mild menstrual cramp and a stitch (you know the sharp pain you get in your side when you run/exercise and get winded). And I get a very sharp pain over my right ovary when I cough.

I know you can get round ligament pain from your uterus stretching. And maybe you have a cyst on your ovary? I do.. and I get cramps from it sometimes.

The doc did say he could see a cyst on my right ovary.... So that would account for the intermittent pain on my right.

The crampy feeling is constant tho and according to webmd.com round ligament pain is short bursts and should last more than a few minutes.

It's not so painful that I can't move or stuff. It just makes me anxious because I'm half waiting for something to go wrong.... I suppose as long as it doesn't get worse and providing I don't start spotting I should just wait it out until my next appt....

If you are worried, you could call the dr and tell him you are worried. I would.

I'm not *worried* worried, it's just making me anxious which makes me more nauseous than I already am.

I don't want to be all paranoid and phoning him for every little twinge.... but also if things are going bad again what can we really do are this stage? I know that if they had seen anything worrying in the bloodwork on Monday they would've called me already. I just like to be prepared; I don't like not-knowing.

In my experience, this is totally normal, especially for your first baby. I had period-like cramps throughout my first trimester with my first. It is a little better this time, but after I pee or after bd'ing, I get very crampy. It is just your uterus growing, so it is actually a good thing.

I agree. I didn't know I was pregnant right away with my 1st and I would get really crampy and kept thinking I was about to get my period. I even had my husband stop one time when we were driving someplace b/c I was sure I had my period b/c of the crampiness. I now have an almost 5 year old from that pregnancy so it was completely fine! I hope it stops soon so you can stop worrying...although if you're anything like me, you can just find something else to worry about

I was crampy for most of my 1st trimester last time, and so far thats happening again. Usually they say to be worried if the cramping is with bleeding and vice versa. I think its just your insides stretching out.

Yeah, I figured I would only call the doc if the pain became unbearable or if I started bleeding. It has eased a little this evening.

I cramped quite a bit in my first tri too. It was quite worrying, always thinking it's going to end badly again. Very very normal though. (((hugs))))
