I'm Caitlin and DH is James. We have one DS who turned 2 on 3/25/13. It took us a very long 27 cycles to conceive him. We got a BFP on our 5th IUI but lost that baby due to being a BO. We conceived DS a couple cycles later on our 6th IUI. We didn't think we could get pregnant on our own so we haven't really been paying much attention. DH has a lot of health issues and so we aren't able to successfully DTD very often. We only did it once in about 6 weeks and it turns out it was the day before I O'd and up popped a BFP at 10DPO. We were shocked then and a week later we are still SHOCKED! Ha! We have been in a very difficult place with DH not being able to work due to his health issues, but we think this baby is a miracle and a blessing. We are trusting that God knows what he is doing and that he wouldn't give us more than we can handle. We are thrilled that He has entrusted us with another LO.

Reserving my space!
I got my BFP 2 days ago and was well and truly shocked. Hubby and I were not trying to get pregnant as we already have 4 children under 7, but it's a blessing regardless.
This baby was conceived on my husband's birthday and is due the day before my birthday--December 15. I'm calling it meant to be.![]()
SAHM to DD1 (9/06), DD2 (4/09)
, DS1 (1/11)
, and DS2 (2/12)
Surprise!#5 due 12/16/13!
My name is Amanda, 30 and DH is Dan, 31. This will be our 4th baby. I got my BFP on April 7th at 13dpo. I tried testing at 10dpo, but it was negative, so I waited to test again, and was soooooo happy when I saw two lines!
Dan and I were married on June 26, 2004. We had our first son Nathan (Nate) on May 26, 2006. We concieved him quickly and had no complications with the pregnancy. We named him Nathan because it means, "God's Gift". He is an extremely intelligent first grader now, at the top of his class and fun to talk with. He is also very tender hearted, but LOVES anything "boy!" anyway, I got pregnant again when Nate was only 4 months old which shocked us because I was still breastfeeding, but he was weaning because it wasn't going super well. Unfortunately I lost that pregnancy extremely early. We were sad, so we decided we wanted to actually "try" and the very first month we got pregnant again. This time I gave birth to our second son, Luke on September 27th 2007. He is our "silly" boy. Everyone loves him because he tries to be funny and he is the life of the party. After having two so close together, we decided to wait to have any more. When Luke was about 2 1/2 we decided to try for #3. Well, after 3 months of trying I was pregnant, but I lost the pregnancy at 12 weeks. It was twins. We were devestated. We started trying right away again, but it took 10 months to concieve again. But we were blessed this time, and I gave birth to our 3rd son, Mark, on February 29, 2012 (leap day!). I was so shocked to go into labor on Leap Day. He is a very special baby, and we love him so much. We just decided to try for baby # 4 in March, now that Mark just turned 1. Amazingly, here I am after the very first month of trying. I feel extremely blessed and give the Lord all the credit. I am praying this precnancy goes full term and we have another healthy baby! Wouldn't mind a girl this time either...lol!

My name is Sarah. I am 33 years old, married to Jesper, 41 years old. I am mommy to Freja, 4.5 years, and bonus mommy to Victoria, 8 years. My husband is Danish and I am American, and we live in Denmark. We have been TTC our #2 since January of 2012. It has been a big shock to have it take this long, because I got pregnant with Freja while on the mini pill! We had one medicated cycle in December, which resulted in BFN, and our doc recommended that we just go ahead with IUI, so we did in March, and got a BFP! We are super excited, but I am also super anxious.
Hi there, My name is Marie. I found out yesterday (at the dr office) I am six weeks along, guess date is the beginning of Dec. I am thrilled to be having another child, to be a sibling to my almost 3 yr little boy. But I am terrified of the timing, as I left my husband of 6 years three weeks ago, and do not plan to return. This is going to be an interesting journey. I am grateful for this blessing, and hopeful for the future.
Im Kati. I am 30. Found out 4/3 that I am pregnant and due December 7 with number 4. Trinity is 6, Taylor is 4 and Sydney is 2 for now. This baby was a complete surprise. We were not trying but not preventing either.
April 3-BFP at work twice (lol had to test there) and at my dr's office
May 14-1st prenatal appt couldnt hear the heartbeat so I got an ultrasound. 10 weeks
May 28-2nd prenatal appt. To see if we can hear the heartbeat if not another ultrasound. 12 weeks

Oh WTH, I'm all in now that I've told DH so I'm claiming my space. I've never been one for moderation.
************************************************** *************************
Howzit!. My name is Roxi and I'm a South African living in New York City with DH and Furbaby Crazy Dog. We have been living in the US 2009. This journey is one that I've been waiting on since my niece was born in 2005.
And it is now finally here!
DH and I have been together for just over 8 years, married for 4. Unfortunately there have been a few things that got in the way of us embarking on this journey: amongst other things I had undiagnosed Bipolar Disorder which then needed to be controlled, we moved from South Africa to the US, and not least DH was (finally) diagnosed with a Chiari Malformation. DH's condition has impacted our lives greatly, especially since he is unable to do most of the physical activities that a DH would normally do. While this might make for a slightly more difficult pregnancy (particularly in the 3rd trimester) so far we have managed to cope as best we can.
We finally crested all of the obstacles that were standing in our way and began to TTC in December 2012. And for the first time in 5 years Lady Luck was on our side...... or so we thought. Unfortunately this celebration turned to mourning when I miscarried at 7 weeks. The pregnancy did not progress passed 6 weeks even though we heard a heart beat at our 7 week appointment.
My first normal cycle started on 3/14 and I started using OPKs because I wasn't sure how "normal" this cycle would be for me. And it worked out in our favour! I have become a bit of a POAS addict since using the OPKs so I actually took my first HPT at 4dpo totally not expecting anything (was not disappointed in that regard). I then tested again on 8dpo and thought my eyes might be teasing me because there was a line with no colour where the test line should be. And it was too soon for an evap line. I've been testing every morning since and finally got a "no squinting required" BFP on 4/11.
Week 4 (4/11-4/17): got my BFP at 10dpo. I wake up nauseous and only eating or drinking eases it. I also crave orange juice and bananas. I have zero sex-drive.
Week 5 (4/18-4/24): nausea is intensifying. Actually thought I was going to throw up a few times. My sense of smell is also becoming much more sensitive. Boobies are getting tender. I am so bloated. This is so very different from the first pregnancy
Week 6 (4/25-5/1): been a not so nice week. Nothing horrific but still waiting for the axe to drop. Been crampy all week which made me anxious, but no spotting. Also Boobies have been very tender. So bloated! Headache all week too.
Week 7 (5/2-5/8 ): Been mostly symptom-free this week. Felt really good on the weekend, had tons of energy and actually felt like eating. I've gone off meat; doesn't make me sick but holds no interest for me. Still very bloated - have taken to using a safety pin on my work pants because the buttons make them too tight.
Week 8 (5/9-5/15): Was an off week. Nausea has increased. Exhaustion has hit full force. Back ache has set in. I got maternity jeans and pants so at least I'm comfortable in that regard. Boobs are bigger too.
Week 9 (5/16-5/22): So freaking exhausted this week; been going to bed much earlier lately. Not helping my attempts at studying. Meat aversion has gone away. Now I'm starving ALL the time.
Week 10 (5/23-5/29): what a sucky week. Exhaustion is kicking my butt. Boobs are a little bigger. Sleeping is not very comfortable. Appetite is back with a vengeance. And what little "belly" I had has disappeared
Week 11 (5/30-6/5): been another tough week. So tired all the time and my temper is on a very short fuse at work. Boobs are bigger. Nausea is worse, but still eases when I eat. I've lost another 0.5 lb so that's a total of 5 lbs in 6 weeks that I've lost. Belly is popping in and out.
Week 12 (6/6-6/12): worst week so far. Struggled so much with the lack of energy versus studying but somehow made it through and managed to write the last exam. YAY! no more exams. The Ensure shakes seem to be helping finally as my weight has stabilized mostly. Belly still nothing amazing. Boobs are bigger still.
4/29/13: first appt with OB at 6w4d. saw the heartbeatheard it very faintly. Fetus is measuring 6w/6w1d so revised EDD is 12/23 but I'm going to wait until our next appointment before changing that officially. Otherwise doc said everything looks good.
5/13/13: follow up bloodwork, maybe u/s. No bloodwork this time but we got to see Squishy. It's growing nicely, measured 8w2d so close on LMP calculations. Heart rate is 177bpm. Placenta placement points to a girl but we'll just have to wait and see.
6/3/13: checkup Check up went fine. Just a standard "how are you feeling" and then the doc tried to listen to the heartbeat with the doppler machine but it wasn't working properly, so he tried to use the ancient u/s machine in the room but he couldn't get that to work properly either. He saw the heartbeat and that was good enough for him. I saw that Squishy had grown since the last viewing so I was happy with that.
6/6/13: NT scan This was the most amazing experience to date!! We saw Squishy wiggling and jumping around! I could see the legs and arms and nose and even an ear! Also heard the heartbeat loud and strong. Won't get any results until after the blood tests at 15 weeks tho.
