EEEeeeeee!!!

The new school year begins tomorrow!

Who wants to bet this pregnant gal is going to crash come 3:00 when all kids go home!?!?

Probably not gonna sleep well tonight either. Too much to do in the morning and too much anticipation!!

Are you a teacher?? My son started kindergarten(whole day) 8/15 and has definitely had a rough transition. He is gone 9 hours from the time the bus picks him up to when he is dropped off! Poor buddy. I am exhausted by afternoon too on my days off from getting up so early. Hopefully you transition fine and that the exhaustion is minimal!

Good luck today. You will do great. I am soo tired in the afternoons. I catch myself occasionally falling asleep at my desk some times.

:D:D:D By far the BEST first day back I've ever had (with the exception of before I was the teacher that is...haha)

My little group of kiddos are WONDERFUL...it helps that I had most of them last year and the parents we had a hard time with are the parents and children who didn't return.

I can actually see how this is going to work with a baby in the mix and only 2 wks to take off for baby. I'm really getting excited now!

We did have some crazy drama first thing yesterday morning. We (the church/school) has a new alarm system that you have to disarm immediately upon arrival. Well my software wasn't working to disarm before I walked in, so I went ahead and went in, but the delay on the front door was somehow off and the alarm went immediately off!! Not Cool! It took me like 5 minutes to get the system to take my code, and by then the alarm company had already called the pastor to see if it was truly an emergency or not, as is their policy (thank goodness!!) So, I didn't actually get started on my day til about 3 min before the first parent/child walked through the front doors because all of that rigamaroll took up a whopping half hour or more, and the first parents were a half hour early to school. LOL But, we made it!!!

And yes, I was tired, but not nearly as much as I thought I would be. Didn't even require a nap. LOL Biggrin

Glad your day was good other then the mishap with the alarm. Ive always hated those alarms. Never know when they will go off.
