Guys deal so much differently then women do. I would tell him that its ok for you to be worried about things and dealing with them differently. Understandable being worried about things after loosing Kamdyn. I think with Riely someone would have caught a defect but Im not sure. Hopefully your DH starts to understand things more. It takes a long time to grieve over loosing someone expecially a child and being pregnant would totally bring things to head again.
So I told one of my boses today after I got back from my ultrasound. She was awesome about it. She was soo supportive about everything. Shes so excited. I got back clocked back in and went over to her desk telling her I needed to talk to her privately. So we went outside and sat at a picnic table. She was beyond excited. She asked me if she could tell other people and I said I didnt care because we work with mostly women and once you tell one EVERYONE knows lol. So yea she told a bunch of people and even brought a couple back to my office to see the ultrasound pictures. It was so funny. She did ask me if after I have the baby I will come back to work and I said of course I would. I really do like my job and want to stay there. Im trying to find out what aflac insurance I have to see if I can get some type of pay when I am off with the baby. I know I have the cancer policy just not sure if I have the other policy.
So tomorrow if my male boss and actual real boss is back at work I will tell him also specially since if I wait too long it will get back to him anyway. lol He is the one I have worried about telling but since it went so well telling my other boss I am more confident about telling him.
So I finally told my boss yesterday afternoon the first time I got up the nerve he wasnt in his office so I was emailing my feale boss to see if he as back in his office since she is right there and she told me when he was back in his office and free. So I took a deap breath and went for it. Told him about the baby and when I was due. He wasnt shocked or mad or anything he told me congratulations asked me if I was going to work until I had the baby and asked me how much time I would want off after the baby. I told him I was working as long as possible and honestly it wont be a problem since I have a desk job and I told him I wanted off as short of an amount of time as possible. I cant totally take much time off but it wont count against me. The door was left open so the female boss heard everything and someone else that has been there for years heard everything to she was smiling from ear to ear and asked me if I needed a drink after. She knew how nervous I was about talking to him. Im glad I finally talked to him and he said that as it got closer we would get everything in order. Im talking to our Aflac people Im trying to find out about their plan (heard there was one) that will help during maternity leave. I have the accident policy and cancer for me and my kids.
Today my oldest brother, his wife and their 4 kids and me and 2 of my kids (youngest is with her dad this weekend) are going over to my parents house to grill out and spend time together and I am going to tell my mom and all the kids. My kids dont know and neither does my brothers. I know if my kids knew they would tell my mom so they had to wait. BUT had my older 2 with me yesterday when I was talking to a friend and a lady I used to work with and was telling them about the baby and that it was a girl and my oldest heard about the whole having a girl so I think she knows. lol So we will see. I think I have a name for the baby also. Im thinking about going with Sophie Lynn. I wanted a S name and really like it and Lynn is my moms middle name. All my kids have a family name in their name. Trinity has my middle name and my grandma's middle name(mom's mom), Taylor has my grandma's maiden name(dad's mom) and his middle name is my dads, my oldest brother, my great grandpa(dads grandpa), and Sydney her middle name is my Aunts name(moms aunt) so I wanted to continue with the tradition. Although thinking about it the girl that I share an office with her dogs name is Sophie lol Still going to more than likely use it.
Glad it went well telling him and the other boss! It must be a huge relief to have it over! :) So happy for you! Have fun telling your family! :) Tell us how it goes :)
Love the name!
It totally is a relief that I told everyone I needed to at work. Now as for today lol. I chickened out telling her. I just couldnt figure out how to start the conversation so we all went out to the vans and my oldest brother's family and me n my kids were gonna go shopping then home. Well I ended up with their oldest shes 8 and my dad and brothers and SIL called me a chicken. We were sitting in the van and I was talking to my one brother when I get a text from my SIL saying that my oldest brother was going to run in and tell her. I was like okay I dont have to lol. So I moved up to where they were and he went in and told her she came out and said so your pregnant and its a girl. I said yes. She asked when. I told her Dec. 12 and that it was unexpected. She was like okay. Looked PISSED. So yea she pretty much reacted how I thought she would. I posted it and the ultrasound pictures on fb. My brother, SIL and mom posted about it on facebook. My mom got pissy on my SIL's status. So who knows. She will get over being mad and more than likely will be in the delivery room with this baby like she has been with my other 3 kids. So now everyone knows and I am still alive. lol
Aww I am sorry she is upset. That's a bummer. Good thing telling her is all done. High5!!
She reacted this way when I got pregnant with Sydney and when my SIL got pregnant with their 3rd and 4th ones to so was kind of expected. Im glad its over with. My oldest is SOOOO excited
Awe that's super great!! I am pretty sure this is a boy y'know and I know if it truly is and we tell ds he is going to be soo excited! :)
