OT- Just for chats

I am eating a delicious panini for lunch... I have been avoiding it... WHY!? lol. It is sooo good. I'm disappointed it's almost all gone. Smile

I went through the paperwork for employee/family insurance for Patrick. I've never had to sign up for insurance before so it was a learning process of what everything means. We decided we are going to wait to sign me up during open enrollment because it'll allow us to save money for the time being. And since I have medicaid right now. The insurance isn't bad at all. It's not fantastic but it'll definitely help with expenses rather than not having any insurance.

I have been able to clean up the house some. I'm now out of energy and have a ton more to do... but Oh well. I feel good that I did some. Smile

mmmm! what was on the panini? I just had a bowl of cooked veggies for lunch because it was raining cats and dogs and I didn't feel like going out in it.

I'm super impressed if you understand most of the insurance stuff.

I have been so exhausted these last few weeks. I was off work today to cram for my exam tomorrow but I got so little done. I just kept falling asleep. Even now I just was to curl up on the couch and sleeeeeeeep. I hope it's just the added stress of the exams that is making me so tired. I really don't want to be this tired for much longer! Thankfully tomorrow is my last exam (for now).

Roxi - what kinda exam ??
Maddie - yum panini. And yay for energy coming back !

Nothing new here. Settling into the new house. DS wants me to snuggle him to sleep every night now. So that's a little fun. We just moved him into a big bed. First night he walked out of his room and came and got me. Was hoping that wasn't going to happen on the first night. Lol.
I think I am about to go eat some ice cream. I never buy it and I did this weekend. So it's begging to be eaten. Lol.

The Panini has turkey and cheese and something else and was just delicious. Smile

I don't know Roxi. I was really exhausted for awhile and I have been able to get a little more done... Most the time I just feel pretty tired and push through. I think it might be the timing of pregnancy. I bet you we will start to feel better this week or next Smile

Aww Sara, I looove to snuggle with DS. DH and I take turns (daily) for the every other week that we have him for snuggle time. DS doesn't like to go to sleep without a minute or two of snuggling. I love it but sometimes it's like... uuhhhgggg I don't wanna walk up the stairs and then back down. haha.

Today I have set myself some goals:
Clean upstairs bathroom
Pick up and vacuum the upstairs (3 bedrooms and a hallway)
Put clothes away
Make mashed potatoes at dinner time for the crock pot chili that we prepped last night Smile
and do the dishes (which are PILED HIGH)

OH and Yoga

It might be a bit much.... I guess we will see how it goes. I also need to go see my nieces... This is the last night they are staying with my parents and then heading back to Co Springs to go back to my sister and her husband. They are just too cute.
Here is a picture:

Maddie that's a lot of cleaning. More power
To you for doing all of that.
I feel decent but have zero energy to clean and I still have to finish arranging the house. Ugh. Dh isn't too thrilled with my lack of motivation. Today is work work work. We are picking up the last little bit at our old house. I need to call and see about hiring a cleaning crew to clean the old house so it can sell. Again. No motivation.

That's how I was last week Sara! So I totally understand. Motivation is hard to come by. I still don't have any.... But I just feel so tired I being in a disgusting home. LOL. It's really not *THAT* terrible... but it feels like it. lol.

Good luck getting it all done today! Smile And I hope your old house sells quickly Biggrin

Sara - today's exam was Strategic Management in Business Management. It's all about business strategies and how to formulate, implement and evaluate them. And the exam was all paragraph and essay answers URGH! But it is done now and now I can forget about it until the results come out around the end of July.

Maddie - shew! that's a serious list! I have a list too that I have to start working on now that my exams are over, but doesn't seem as hectic as yours. We have this pile of "stuff" in the corner of our living room that I've been promising DH I will sort out once my exams are over. It's mostly my college books and stuff so I needed to know what I can get rid of, hence waiting until after the exams. Also have piles and piles of bills to file away - my WORST task. And then there is the ever-growing mountain of ironing. At least I can watch TV while doing all of that.

Those girls are so CUTE!!!! I miss my nieces and nephew so much. I haven't had a change to cuddle them since Nov 2011 Sad My nephew turns 11 today!!

Happy birthday to the neph Roxi! Sorry it's been so long since you've gotten to see them!

Oh-ly gosh I'm am wiped out... I haven't finished my list at all Sad

20 minutes of yoga: check
I picked up my bedroom and DS's bedroom.
I vacuumed the 3 bedrooms and hallway.
I put the clothes away but still need to put some in boxes.
I cleaned the sick upstairs.

I haven't made the mashed tates yet.... Not dinner time yet thank goodness
I haven't done the dishes
I didn't really pick up the extremely messy upstairs.
The third bedroom still needs vacuumed better.
The bathroom upstairs still needs: the trash out, the bathtub/shower cleaned, the toilet cleaned, and the floor swept/mopped.

BLAH. I made too big of a list! Tomorrow is even worse too. I just really need my house in order!!! Sad I hope that DH will help me a lot... I am totally out of energy.... I feel like I was tired after doing yoga (the first thing I did). I wish my mom would could help me... If I were my sister she would. :/

OOOOOO! Good luck with the appointment on Monday!!

Maybe you should try do the yoga after doing some of the housework. Might leave you with a bit more energy for the housework and then also stretch you out after doing all the housework.

I have to start exercising again too. Not tonight tho. Tonight is my chill out night seeing as I finished my exams today. Going to tidy up the kitchen, then decide what to make for dinner, then tidy the kitchen again after cooking and then BED!

Thanks Roxi!.... The yoga after housework sounds like a good idea. I'll try that tomorrow. Smile I decided I am going to wake up when DH goes to work (6:30 AM) since I go to bed with him 8:30 or 9. Most the time I wake at 8 or 9 AM so I'm hoping maybe I'll get better sleep.... Since I'll probably be more tired?? IDK I guess we will see.

Right when DH got home he started the dishes. He did about 1/4 or 1/5 of them or so and then went to the gym so I took over. My family ended up coming over for my chili dinner. My nieces leave tomorrow so I got to spend more time with them. One of them is allergic to dogs so I had to vacuum the living room, shake the covers/vacuum the couches, and sweep the kitchen. I took over the dishes because I would be ragged on if my house was dirty so I needed to clean up so I ended up washing almost all of them and cleaning the counters. So I ended up doing things that weren't on my list for today but at least they were done and it will make another day this week easier Smile

Unfortunately having 4 adults and 3 kids for dinner creates a lot of dishes so... there is another big pile Sad Dangit! I will work on it tomorrow. I am going to make tuna casserole for dinner tomorrow. I created a meal plan for this week and I am determined to stick to it. Smile

Roxi- Sounds like a good night. I'm glad you finished your exams and can take a break! Smile A chill out night seems well deserved Smile What did you end up having for dinner?

It is 8... We just put Riley to bed and I crawled into bed myself. I am WORN OUT. I did soooo much today and I'm super bloated from the chili.... Although I'm currently craving my mashed potatoes even though I'm full...

DH is downstairs watching a scary movie. I REFUSE to watch them with him. I get nightmares suuuuuper easy.... But I can hear the TV... I am going to have to shut the door. Heh. I'm a loser.

OHHH My neighbor and I spoke the other day and I told her I really wanted to plant some plants in the front of my apt. She ended up talking to maintenance to see if we can remove the "weed protection layer" thing... and So she came over and asked if she could remove the thing for me and whenever I get plants she would plant them for me. She just talked about how I shouldn't do it because I'm pregnant and so her son and her wanted to help. IT IS SO SWEET! Smile It was a very nice thing and I kept meaning to get out there to do it but haven't had enough energy- especially to work out in the sun.

Woah... I am rambling. Sorry. It probably because I'm in bed... the place I always talk DH's ear off. Smile And he isn't next to me.

We ended up getting sushi for dinner so no extra dishes to do! YAY!! (I had vegetarian sushi, don't worry Wink ) Had a totally chilled out night; watched a really sad family movie called Hachi. Bawled my eyes out but it was worth it. Now DH is walking the dog and I'm running a bath.

Night-night!

PS my belly is looking really big today. I showed DH and he said "now I can almost picture you looking pregnant" Smile

Lol. That's funny Roxi. I'm super bloated tonight so my belly looks even bigger. Have a great bath dear! Make sure it's not too hot! Wink Just Kidding, I know you know that Biggrin I eat cooked sushi... I miss the raw sushi soooo much! I can't wait to eat it again Smile

I ended up texting DH asking him for a medium bowl of mashed potatoes. He got it really quickly for me. SO SWEET. I wuv him! Smile I am tempted to send him on a store run for some milk chocolate sea salt almond Ghirardelli. MMMm i had some yesterday and the day before and gobbled it up. I don't eat a lot of sweets especially chocolate but IT IS SO GOOD. Smile You should try it girls!

Hey ladies. Grouchy isn't good Madrid. Hope the grouchies go away soon for ya!
I am exhausted. Spent all day in a meeting. Literally all day and have to do the same tomorrow. It's so mentally draining. Dh is crabby. He is over stressed with work and he move. I feel like he is mad at me all the time. Makes for some tension in the house. I am just letting him sort it out. He tends to get worked up easily.

So my cousin works for this awesome company. it's a small business based in california and they are designing these cool, easy to use robot toys. Here is a ton of information and videos. They are trying to get funded right now and need some pledges. if you would help them out by sharing it and/or pledging some money... (you can even do just a dollar!!)

"Barobo and our kickstarter, but we really need your help. Please, we have 5 days left to go and $10K to raise. You don't have to pledge (unless you want an awesome robot where you can print your own accessories), but please just spread the information about us. Put us on your facebook, your twitter, reddit. Show the world Barobo, it would be great for us since we are a small startup company and need support. Thanks!
Here are a few links to get the idea of how cool these things are:

My brother got in a 1 car roll over accident this morning. Luckily he was discharged from the hospital with just a broken collarbone and bruises. I am so grateful he is alright. I about cried this morning even though I already knew he was okay when I found out.

Glad your brother is okay Maddie!

We had a crazy weekend! Our A/C went out Saturday morning and was out all day Saturday and all Sunday til late afternoon. Thankfully it was just a short and didn't cost us anything to fix. I'm exhausted from the crazy weekend and want to do nothing but sleep. My house is almost clean now though, if I can just finish getting our bedroom clean then we can start cleaning out what is going to be the nursery. Smile So excited to have a clean house!!

And I finally took a belly pic, but I've got to get home this afternoon before I can upload. Smile

GL Maddie!!

Soooo, I REALLLLYYYY hope this is a girl (I think it is...gut feeling)...b/c I made this for her last night and its one thing I don't want to give away....

It is a newborn size skirt that I made out of an old ruffley shirt I had cut out of one of my jackets. Smile I forgot and accidently didn't change the thread on my machine and used white thread, big mistake...but I'm not going back and re-doing all of my work...I'll color it in with a marker or something...haha

aww it's cute Jana. Smile Hope its a girl since you want one Smile You could maybe dye the skirt?? instead of coloring in the thread. I don't know much about clothes though. heh.

I wish I knew how to sew and stuff. I would love to make stuff

TY! Hmmm...that might would work Maddie, I have to consult my mother (who is a FABULOUS seamstress).

Braxton keeps picking up the skirt and walking around with it informing whoever will listen that it is for his sister. Haha!!

Honestly its not all that hard to learn, it just takes time. I'm not the greatest, but I'm getting better slowly! I love it! It is relaxing to me.

That is so CUTE!! I can't wait to see it on!

I miss my sewing machine. I used to have a whole room dedicated to my sewing projects when we lived in South Africa. Used to make all of my Halloween costumes, made both of my Prom dresses, made my friend's Medieval-themed wedding dress and all the outfits for the wedding party, and my all-time favourite was making teddy bears.

Sigh

Now I'm trying to get into knitting because it takes up less space but the wool dries my hands out horribly Sad

I used to sew all the time. Took home ec in Jr. High and got really good. I have all my sewing stuff(sewing machine and sewing box with all the thread and needles and everything) at my parents house. I havent sewn in years. Oh how I miss it.

Roxi, I always wanted to learn to knit, but it looked too complicated, so I just never tried...yeah I know, great attitude about it huh? lol

And Kati, I always wanted to take home ec in Jr High or High School but it never would work out with my other classes I needed or wanted to take more. Sad So, I'm a self-taught girl....and trust me, I'm not all that good. Haha...my first project ever was some simple skirts for a little girl that was going to kids church camp with us, but needed new clothes, and we couldn't afford to buy them for her, neither we as her leaders nor her parents. So, I set out to make them. She loved them and they did last, thankfully, the full week of camp. But then right after camp the dad washed them. Apparently I hadn't sewed one of the pieces of elastic well, because he thought he had a new pillowcase when it came out of the washer. Haha!! I was so embarrassed I didn't sew for a while after that. Funny memory now though. Wink

Jana, I'm also self-taught on the knitting fron. If you're still keen to learn get yourself the book "Stitch 'n *****" by Debbie Stoller

My mom taught me to sew when I was about 9 years old. Been sewing since. I miss it.

Its still at my parents house because when we moved out I didnt take it with us. I didnt have room in my tiny apartment we moved into and right now Im not sure where I would put it either so for now its staying there lol. I made a shirt in school that had buttons and everything was great till the stiching at the bottom started coming out. I mostly just fix things. For a while my mom and I were making those tie blankets and a few od those we did sew.

I'm a self taught crotcheter. I youtubed some videos and learned that way. I also just got a sewing machine around thanksgiving-a hand me down and dabble around with making things. My next two projects are hooded towels and pillow cases. Then I plan on doing tagged mink blankets.... My sister just had her 2nd baby- a girl- Harper Catherine- 8lbs13oz. So cute!! Really makes me super excited for this little one- I can't wait to find out what we are having so we can settle on a name. I'm really starting to like Pagie for a girl but DH is still stuck on Alex....lol

Jules, I always loved the name Olivia Paige...but the hubs doesn't like it...or at least much prefers the other names we have picked out....sooooo if this is a girl like we are hoping, it is Aarilyn Belle. DH loves Aarilyn because it is after him...Aaron...Aarilyn...:) The next fave girl name is Abigail Grace. I always regret telling people ahead of time though just because someone always spends the entire rest of the pregnancy trying to change my mind. With DS my mom wanted me to change it from Braxton Michael to Michael Braxton. With this one she wants me to change the middle name to Isabella instead of Belle....and I'm not doing it. lol I guess I can be stubborn after all. hehe

Like I said, I going to **try** Wink

I don't know why but I find it strange to begin calling the baby by a real name before it's born. I suppose I always wonder what if you call it a certain name for 4 months and then when it arrives the name just doesn't fit.... So I'm going to have a short list of 2 or 3 names but after we find out the gender then will refer to it as BabyGirl or BabyBoy.

I've learned a lot of patience since DH refused to let us tell anyone until the last couple weeks. Even our families only found out at 10/11 weeks.

I cant wait to find out if its a boy or girl. Then can fgure out which of my names I get to use. Im not telling my kids or my mom until after the scan. Cant tell the kids till she knows or tell them at the same time. My brothers kids dont know either yet. Should be interesting. Im trying to work up the nerve to tell my boss but am wanting to do it when the female lawyer is there also not just my actual boss. Im paranoid about telling him.....

Roxi! Lol Patience? What's that??? My DH couldn't even wait until Mother's Day to tell everyone he knew...lol The plan was to tell our parents on Mother's Day at 6-7wks and then everyone else. I think it ended up being everyone else knew, then we told our parents on Mother's Day. Haha

And we do name baby ahead of time. I'm already referring to this one by name because I'm positive I know what it is...now lets just hope I'm right b/c otherwise I'm going to have a hard time rewiring my brain! Biggrin My DS and DH are so sure though...sooooo....I'm hoping we find out sooner rather than later...I found out at 13 wks with DS....soooo, maybe at the next 2 appts on Monday????? I know, wishful thinking!! I'm just setting myself up for disappointment. Smile

Hey girls.. Sorry I haven't posted... I have been busy in the house and starting work again.

I went back to my old job at the pool but as a cashier instead of lifeguard/manager.

I went to work on Wednesday and am totally regretting it. I thought it would be really good for me but I am just completely disappointed and stressed. and I came home just simply exhausted.

I've been kinda down. My mom and i have a terrible relationship but I figured I woudl try to work on it and have been trying to hang out with her all week. So we made plans on Wednesday. She totally ditched me to "drive my brother to the dr" which is fine.. except that the appointment wasn't until way later in the day. and then we rescheduled today and she bailed on me again because "it's too hot" REALLY?! Whatever. I have cried over it a ton and I totally called her out today and I just don't even feel like talking to her at all anymore. I told her not to expect me to try to spend time with her again.

To Join into your convo:

I can't wait until we know for sure that it's a boy. Smile I am almost positive it is but that's alright. lol. Our boy name is Daxton Dash Sha********** I am not going to put the whole last name but that way you get the idea. Smile our girl name is yet to be determined but hopefully I don't' have to worry about it because DH and I aren't really agreeing on a name.

My friend who just turned 20 weeks- She had an ultrasound at 16 weeks in which they told her it was a girl. She just got another ultrasound and found it it's actually a boy! haha. I told her before she left that she's probably gonna find out it's a boy. I was totally right. It's because she said that she's always thought she was going to have a boy and couldn't imagine having a girl and when she found out it was a girl she was uber surprised. I had a feeling that it was going to be a boy. lol.

SWEET STORY:
DS kissed my belly the other day and told me he was kissing the baby. Then today he told me he wanted to kiss the baby and so I moved my blanket and he kissed my tummy and said, "I love the baby." SOOO SWEET. I love my son. He is sooo excited to have a brother/sister. I really pray that nothing with go wrong. I don't want to break his dear little heart. Or mine :/

Can I just say that today I am feeling very very lazy... I am feeling sick and exhausted... I don't want to do anything but crawl back in to bed. I'm feeling bored to. Sad blah on today.

on another note: DS has tripped going down the stairs twice... He is so clumsy (just like me). But it worries me... I don't want him hurt!

Thats not good about your son Maddie. Id keep him away from the stairs for awhile. I know what you mean about being lazy today. I am at work and being lazy lol were not getting much done specially since noone is really working or giving us work to do so cant do much. I want it to be 5 so I can go home.

Im trying to get enough nerve to talk to my boss today....we will see how that goes.
