Default Detect5 Pregnancy progression test...anyone tried it? xp

I guess it's more for after you test positive.

    Detect5 Progressive Pregnancy Test

The run down is this: It has 5 tests on one casette. Each test requires a subsequently higher amount of hCG. So, the first is 20 mIU, the second is 50 mIU and so on and so forth up to I think 10,000.

The point is to take them a few days apart to see how your hCG numbers are rising. Kind of an at-home beta check.

MAN I'm tempted!!! Obviously they are expensive, but what a great idea!

I saw those on line once and was certainly intrigued - but then when I went back to try and find them again and I couldn't - so I was thinking maybe they were too good to be true?
WIll be checking this thread to see if anyone has tried them!

I haven't tried them, but I considered it. I read a few reviews which made me decide they weren't worth the money. They do look fun, though!
    big boy 12.8.07 @ 39+2 7lbs 8oz, 20.5" BFed for 13 months
    middle boy 8.12.09 @ 39+4 7lbs 9oz, 21" BFed for 13.5 months
    little boy 4.26.11 @ 38+4 6lbs 14oz, 19.5" BFed until 26mo and again 30-37mo
    baby boy 10.25.13 @ 41+0 8lbs 15oz, 21.5"
    8.16.12 & 12.16.12

TTA, but would welcome a surprise

So the Detect5 Progressive Pregnancy Test measures five different levels of hCG in your urine. These levels are:

    25 miu/ml
    100 miu/ml
    500 miu/ml
    2,000 miu/ml
    10,000 miu/ml

So when you pee on a stick (POAS), you will watch the Detect5 Progressive Pregnancy Test run these tests simultaneously. So, let's say you're in a very early pregnancy and your hCG is 40 miu/ml. If this is the case, the test would turn into a big fat positive (BPF) for the 25 miu/ml but read negative on the other four tests. If your hCG was 600 miu/ml the first three levels (25, 50 and 500 miu/ml) would be positive. This pregnancy test is not designed to be reused.

Sounds steep for sure, but here just buying 1 name brand test (not even digital) is about $15 - so not much more really

    Definately too steep for POAS-aholic!
