Default Dipped too long - negative?

Question - if I dipped a IC too long (I didn't know these new IC tests I got are dip 3 secs not 5 secs - and when I count I was probably getting close to 6 secs to be sure...) could that cause a fainter result? I've been getting VERY questionable, barely there, blink and it's gone faint faint faint lines for a few days and just realized now I've been dipping almost double the time needed for these strips. (I have some pics but they are totally not worth posting....)

Also, I'm reading a lot on line about people not getting positives on the tests from this site (saveontests.com) but getting positives on other tests.....

You guys are totally going to ask to see pics aren't you....

I'm not sure. I don't think the extra few seconds will make much difference. And of course we want to see pics!! I hope this is it for you!!! Maybe get a dollar store hpt and see what it says.

    Default test

Again, bathroom light sucks and this is from my phone. IRL there is something barely there that I don't think the picture picked up.

Ok - how about this one - it's on top of an orange bottle. lol

Sorry it's so big, I can't edit it on the photobucket app on my phone. And I'm 99.99999% sure that is BFN.

Rachael I can't see anything because it's a bit fuzzy. Are you for sure 13 dpo? I imagine you know given your current efforts but I was just curious if it's a for sure 13 dpo or not.

Can you get a different brand of test? You have your beta tomorrow, right?

GL, I so hope this is it for you. I'm not sure about the length of dip but I imagine that if you do anything outside of the normal instructions it could definitely affect the result you see - I'm just not sure how though.

Keeping everything crossed for you!!!! KUP and if you don't pee on anything before your beta please post here to let us know the result so we can know about if the dip length does in fact affect the result.

Hoping for a good beta for you.

Hard to tell from that pic...it's a little blurry and dark. Sometimes those barely-there lines just don't get picked up in a photo. Can you try a different kind of test? If you do, of course, we'll want to see pics.

It's not over until AF shows. Good luck!!!!!

I posted another one above farther away. To me that's BFN. My beta is tomorrow so no point in buying more tests now. I will try tomorrow with fmu and less dip time just on case though.

Rachael, I think you're right I don't see it in the new pic either.

That's not to say there isn't anything there. I've seen so many that have come out looking like BFN's and then a few days later are BFP's.

I'll be looking for your update after your beta tomorrow. GL - praying for ya!!!

Thanks. I'm not holding my breath or anything tomorrow. I've already accepted that I'm probably not preggers. I feel bad for DH though as this is the first time he's REALLY wanted it and I think he is going to be crushed. He keeps saying how he's sure I am preggers.

Rachael I can't really see the photo well. Those look like the AIM strips I was using and I got a VERY VERY VERY faint line that I actually thought wasn't there in the am and then saw it later in the morning again and asked DH he checked and said Maybe...when I got an expensive test it was clear as day....

My strip test was barley there for about 4 days after my beta....I wouldn't give up yet till they do your blood work!

I think alot of those strips just are not as sensitive in response...
