    Default I need some wisdom

I'm seriously puzzled by my tests this morning. I'm 16dpo and my temp is sky high. I've had BFPs since 10dpo. Here's what I got today

Those are in order, so the top one is FMU then SMU and TMU. They're all the same brand. There was no obvious difference in the pee concentration. So... WTF? I don't know what to think. #1 and #2 are lighter than yesterday's test, #3 is the same or darker.

Hmm... I have no idea, but that does seem strange. I hope someone can give you some wisdom... but most of all I hope it's just nothing, and you're fine!

Could the cup you used in the morning be wet from the last pee or or something to dilute it?
Maybe just the tests were a little dodgy or heat exposed or something.
    Still nice looking lines!!!

IDK really either. That the last test taken is darkest is weird but I think it's a nice dark bfp so that's a good sign. For me this pg the ICs I had must not have been working b/c I had a very BFN test on cd 11 on the IC then at 14 dpo I had a very dark lined bfp on a FRER. They are both supposed to measure the same levels too around 25 mIu though I know FRESr are bettyer for early detection. If you are worried I'd do a FRER and I bet that it'll be nice and dark. T

What I have always read is that hpts are designed to tell you whether or not you are pregnant, but not "how pregnant" you are - either how far along, or the health of the pregnancy. From what I've read, the sensitivities of tests can vary from test to test, even in the same package of tests, so you can really drive yourself nuts by testing day over day, only to get lines of varying darkness. Many of us do it anyway, but I think sometimes that is just a ticket to making yourself crazy. Personally, I haven't had good luck with ICs. With my last pregnancy, they were showing up negative even the same day I went to my doctor and got something like 600 on my beta, so my feeling is that ICs should be taken with a grain of salt.

My NP told me something that has stuck in my mind throughout this pregnancy. She told me that by the time I got my first positive pregnancy test, the fate of the pregnancy was pretty much set. Meaning that, if there was a genetic reason why I was going to lose this pregnancy (the main reason for most m/cs) it was already set. Certainly, we can still cause problems in our pregnancies by drinking or taking drugs, or it's possible (although rare) to suffer a trauma that might make us lose the pregnancy. For those of us (myself included) that need a little extra help with progesterone and/or baby aspirin, you want to do that too. But for the most part, what is done is already done. You can't will a pregnancy to work by peeing on sticks 5x a day. It will work because it is healthy, or it won't, because it isn't. So my advice to you is to stop testing, if you can. (((((HUGS)))) I know how hard that is, and how hard it is to have a pregnancy after a loss. ((((HUGS))))

Thanks, Alissa. I've heard that before, but it's hard to believe when I've seen a lovely progression with all my other pregnancies. I sure hope you're right, though. I like your view better than mine.

I think Alissa said it GREAT. And I'll say for the record that I've had some screwy results with the cheapo tests. They have seemed very inconsistent to me. You can even see differences in your control lines, which theoretically should be the same. And they're not. So of course the test lines are going to vary even more than that. That said, I totally get the urge to freak out and test a million times. I've driven myself absolutely nuts with it in my pregnancies with Calvin and this bean. But in all honesty, after the first week or maybe two with this pregnancy, I forced myself to stop testing. I was going mad. I refused to buy anymore when I went to the store and I refused to have them in the house. And I actually felt soooo much better. I sincerely hope this is a sticky bean. I can't wait until you can get in and get your betas done and hopefully get some encouragement that things are going just fine.

I agree with Alissa. I think either way it's still positive and based on the last color things are okay!
