    Default OPK advice??

As most of you know, I'm in breastfeeding amenorrhea. I have not had a period since the end of November 2010 (not counting the post baby bleed). Evie turned 15 months on November 29 (almost 2 weeks ago). I started using OPK's to try and catch my first ovulation so I know when to expect AF. DH had the big V in March and confirmed infertile mid August. Not trying to get pregnant, just wanting normalcy again. Please don't ask me what cycle day I am on... cause I will simply answer with a very large number (700's).

I have been testing on and off for a couple weeks now.

    Yesterday I tested 2pm, 4pm, 7pm and then this morning I tested 11am.

Yesterday, 2pm.. the first part of the test line was as dark as the control line, but the rest of the line faded as it went. Here is what it looked like at 5 minutes:

at 15 minutes it was clearer:

Yesterday 4pm I didn't take a picture in the time limit, but the top of the line was as dark as the control and then it faded down and right... Soo confused. 7pm looked similar to 2pm. Then this morning I tested at 11am and it's not as dark. Here's a progression pic for you... in order.. top to bottom is 12/9 2pm, 4pm, 7pm, 12/10 11am.

Just want to get your opinion of if I should go off of the darkest part of the test line when reading these??

Today I am starting to cramp and feel like my body is gearing to have EWCM.. so I am hoping that I read the tests right.

Janelle, I have no advice on the OPK's, but just wanted to say I didn't get AF back until both my boys were 21 months. With DS1, that was right after I weaned him completely, and with DS2 after I was away from him for a couple weeks, so no BF, though I went back to BFing afterwards.

    Thank you.

I breastfed my first son til 8 months, but it was a slow wean from starting formula supplementation at 2 months old. I got AF back 2 weeks after last nursing session.

My 2nd son I bf'ed til a little over a year, but got AF back at 8.5 months mid bcp pack, so bf'ing every 4 hours around the clock--no formula, very little puree food, AND on ACTIVE pills (not the week you would get AF while taking pills) and she showed up.

I was expecting AF to happen around 8 months again this time around. I realize they can all be different, but I'm going crazy!

I understand. Aren't we funny. Hope to heck AF stays away when TTC, then obsess about when she's coming back afterwards....
