Default Positive OPK past ovulation - Updated #15 w/HPT&OPK

Okay, so I know that OPKs don't make good pregnancy tests but I'm a little stumped here. I O'd last Friday (early for me but had all the signs minus a positive OPK). Since 5 DPO I've had tons of creamy cm and have been feeling off (sore boobs, nauseous, skin is a mess cramps etc). Not totally out of the norm but I have been taking OPKs just to see what they'd do. This AM I got this, which looks pretty positive to me:

I didn't temp this morning because I was up so much last night with DD and didn't get a chance before I got up. I know that if for some reason FF and I are wrong, there's still a chance for this cycle if I can get DH to BD tonight, tomorrow etc. but I'm 99.9% sure of when I OV'd and I don't have some of my biggest symptoms for that now.

Anyone here had positive OPKS a few days before getting a positive HPT? I know it's way too early for a HPT to come up positive, but I figured I'd still see what everyone else has experienced.

ETA: Here's another from this afternoon. Looks like we'll be BDing but I just don't get how FF and I could have been so wrong :/ I know this angle is weird but it's the only working camera I have atm. The test line is definatly darker in person not sure if that is evident in the picture.

There was another thread like this a few weeks ago. I have gotten dark opks like that before af and I'm pretty sure a few others said that. Or maybe like pp said you are about to O. Hope you are preggers tho! Only a couple days until testing for you. GL!

I agree with this. That OPK doesn't quite look positive to me, yet.

I have heard that OPKs do work at pregnancy tests, but much later than a HPT would show positive.

Man, that is a tough one!!! OPKs do work as HPTs but not usually earlier than an HPT. I think they are less sensitive so they usually show a BFP around or after the time a HPT would show a BFP. I have heard and have gotten a dark OPK right around the time AF was due. Thought I was preggo but wasn't. I would say that you are most likely about to O. I also think its not quite positive but is very close!! I would say you should BD just to be safe. GL!! I hope you catch the eggie either way!!

Thanks ladies. It does look a bit darker in person but hopefully DH will be up for BDing to be on the safe side. Despite everything pointing to Ov last week, I'd rather be on the safe side. AF isn't due for a while so there's a chance.

With my son I had positive OPKs when I was pregnant. If you're sure you already O'd, I'd say you should take a HPT!!! GOod luck!

Thanks, that's what I'm hoping for! I mean, if I was to O it's not like we can't still try but the wait would feel like forever and everything except the OPK points to O'ing a week ago. I took a hpt and it was negative but at 6/7DPO that's what I was expecting. I do have creamy cm but overall I just feel bloated, crampy, nauseous and it's quite a difference from my usual O experience. No ewcm since last week so we'll see!
