First fertility specialist appointment. I had been seeing one md, then moved and have seen a second md as general practitioners. Both have given me their blessing to try health-wise, some advice, done some blood testing, and tried little things (like 18 months ago I lost 40 pounds to see if it helped my cycles. it didn't. at all.), but we haven't tried any actual medical assistance to get pregnant.

This will be a first, and I'm scared they won't help, or that I will be un-help-able!!

Good luck at your appointment! I think it's great that you are exploring your options, and I hope that you will find a strategy that works and you are happy with.

I totally understand being nervous! When they were testing me to find out what was going on with me and why I had lost two pregnancies in a row, I was terrified that the answer was going to be that I couldn't have any more kids, or worse yet, no answers. Everything crossed that you will get some really useful info and be able to conceive quickly and easily. Please keep us posted!

My DH didn't know how much I obsessed when we were trying to DS I think I would have driven him nuts. Now that we are TTC#2 he knows but he's not in on it he just tells me to let him know when it's time and he will BD when I tell him to!! I think it's easier for him that way!!

Funny how my dh is the same. Just tell him when to show up for sex and he'll be there! lol!

Thank you ladies for the good wishes!

The RE was awesome! He was nice and supportive. He told me that while my weight is high, it is likely not the problem as my cycles have never been normal. He says that it seems to him, the thing to do is get me ovulating regularly so that we have our fair shot of getting pg. He doesn't think i have PCOS either, but could develop it.

So. I walked out with a prescription for provera to induce a cycle. And a prescription for clomid. To try when the cycle gets here. He also scheduled an hsg for day 6-12 of my next cycle. So that's where we'll start!
I can't even believe how well it went!

I'm very excited to get going. Taking the provera starting tonight!

Yay Susan! I am so happy that you have gotten some things to try. Hoping that Clomid turns out to be your miracle maker!
