WTG Corbin!
They are small, but can make connections pretty fast!
Sometimes when DD is cranky and does not want to sit on her potty, I sit on the floor beside the potty and nurse her until she calms down. Then she pees.

awww too cute!!! jade used to have trouble pooping sometimes on the potty so i would sit on the floor in front of her and let her have a little while she tried, then came the problem of getting her to stop that! lol! keep up the great work!!
I did that again today. He hadn't pooped all morning and I knew he needed to. He had a little toot on the potty and I was sure as soon as I put a diaper on to nurse he would poop. So I sat in front of him and nurse him (which my back wasn't so fond of) and then he pooped again today! Not a ton, but hopefully he is getting the idea. We put a dipe back on afterwards and about an hour later he really pooped in that. I think he is actually a little nervous about pooping on the potty. After the first time when it scared him, I'm afraid it makes him nervous now. He is easily startled and I don't want him to be afraid of it. haha! Poor little guy.
I'll KUP on how it keeps going![]()
He tooted loud on the potty today and it didn't seem to scare him! I was excited. I'm hoping he is finally figuring it out. We have been doing EC since the end of June and he had never pooed on the potty. Since he pooped in the tupperware container (2 days ago I think?) while I was nursing he has gone twice on the potty! I think he is figuring it out now. Slowly but surely!![]()
Thanks so much for all the support and encouragement ladies! I'm still shocked and so excited that my 4.5 month old is so smartand goes on the potty!
Oh man have I been bad about posting! The pooping got so much better when we started solids. It basically (tmi, if there is such a thing on this board)firmed his poo up so that he would grunt when going. It made it sooo much easier to catch! He had gotten so good at it and was going at least once a day on the potty.
But now we have hit another road block... For whatever reason he has gone back to going when he is in bed. Basically he goes at night and during nap times... Makes it really hard to catch. He is very sensitive to the foods he eats so I have to be careful not to feed him too many plums, peaches or nectarines. I still put him on the potty after every nap and during every diaper change. But it seems like in general he is going less??![]()
Oh well. I know he is still tiny (7 months today) so I'm fine with giving it lots of time!
On a side note... My SIL has a little girl who is exactly 1 yr older than my DS and she posted the other day about how excited she was that her DD went pee on the potty. I couldn't help but giggle to myself bc Corbin has been peeing everyday since he was 3.5 months old. Sometimes I forget to praise him bc it is so common for him to pee. I just thought that was kinda funny![]()
I know what you mean! My SIL has a baby 6 weeks younger than DD. She often asks me advice. I've told her about early p/t, but she does not believe it in. I am waiting for her to ask me advice on how to P/T when her D is a toddler.
Over the past few weeks, the DD's care giver at daycare has told me she is waking up with a poopy diaper.

Hey again ladies!! Sorry it has been so long. It seems as though we have kinda hit a wall with our ECing. He seems to be at a standstill. He pees on the potty when we set him on there and sometimes I catch a poo (mostly at night before bed) but he isn't really making much forward progress. He is 10.5 months old and I was hoping by now that we would be farther along than we are. I really feel like once he can sign or tell me that he needs to go, then we'll really take off. He still poos first thing in the morning. If I wake him up and put him on the potty then he will go, but if I wait for him to wake me up in the mornings then he will have already pooped in his dipe. I guess we are just stuck in this same routine until he gets a little older and can communicate with us that he needs to go.
