I can't say that I've gone straight from the shower to pumping, but I'll give it a try! Things seem to be getting a little better though. I've been using the fenugreek and pumping on one side while Trystan is on the other, and that seems to be helping get more milk out!

I know that after I take a warm/hot shower for about 15-20 mins I start to leak right when I get out so I pump as soon as I get out. - like in my robe pumping, lol and I usually can get a good amount.

Good news regarding my milk supply!

I've finally figured out how to nurse side-lying...I take my nipple shield to bed with me, lol! So, between about 6am and 11am Laszlo nurses almost continously. Maybe once an hour for twenty minutes? This seems to have REALLY had a positive impact on my milk supply - going 5 hours without needing to supplement is a big step for us!

That's awesome Jasmine! Rory usually spends an hour or so in the morning in bed and nurses laying down pretty well. He's still a little behind my hard let down but it's improving (or was until he got a cold). You are one dedicated mama!

I'm struggling to remember to drink enough water! I need to get better about that, I wake up at night totally dehydrated and thirsty so I don't think I'm drinking enough all day. It's hard to remember when chasing both kiddos!

This is us at night too, from aroun midnight to 5 or 6 he is continuously nursing laying down. And if I try the pacifier, forget it, he is truly hungry! And I'm too tired to nurse sitting up. I did the same with DS2 at night, it was the only way I got any sleep.

Emerson is in bed with us and we nurse lying down all night too. He still eats A LOT at night so I am way too tired to sit up. I was so glad when we managed to get a decent latch lying down! So much easier.

I can't believe I made it 6 weeks! I still have pain sometimes but it's not as terrible as it was. I still have to pull out his little lips every time to get a better latch but at least I'm not crying in pain every nursing session!

Congrats for making it Sandra!! Awesome!! Rory is an eating machine I swear. But at night he is pretty good I got 5-6 hour stretches the last two nights! But typically 4 is the longest he goes and during the day sometimes he doesn't go an hour haha

I have over 100oz in my freezer! Wahoo! My goal was 150-200 by Feb 20 when I return to work I think I'll easily be there and I'll be shocked if I don't pump more than he eats while I'm at work at least initially. We'll see.

FWIW If anyone is looking in to buying a pump the Medela Freestyle was worth the extra money if you pump often. It's small and has a rechargeable battery and I love it (well as much as you can "love" feeling like a dairy cow!)

Way to pump Katie! I find I don't get much from pumping, but I haven't tried that much. Thankfully I don't have work to return to!

I was a wetnurse or a dairy cow in my last life so pumping isn't a problem for me. Which is lucky b/c I do have to go to work Wahh. But only 3 days a week. I have NO idea what he will need but since it's 6 weeks away I'll probably wait some more. The two times I've left him DH could only get him to take 2oz from the bottle
