So, We had our 6 week check up (a week late) and Evie is only in the 5th to 10th percentile for her weight. Between the 10th and 25th for her height and below 5th for her head circumference.
The doc confirmed an upper lip tie and could not rule out a posterior tongue tie. We are being referred to an IBCLC an hour away for confirmation and referral of treatment.
Evie is eating every 2 hours around the clock and sometimes acts hungry in between those times. She should NOT be gaining so little. No wonder she looked small to me for this age. Of course, my boys were 90th percentiles by the time they were 2 weeks old and they've stayed there ever since. So by comparison she looks REALLY small.
But to end on a positive note, She's pooping again! I went completely dairy free by Tuesday last week and she's pooped everyday since Thursday!

What percentile was she in at her 2 week checkup?
It doesnt matter WHAT percentile they're in, as long as they're following *a* curve. Brayden has ALWAYS been in the 10th percentile and likely will remain there. He didnt hit 20 lbs until he was 18 months old and is still wearing 2T pants (that fit and/or are BIG) at 3.5.
ETA: Also, get your pedi to use the WHO height/weight graphs for breastfed babies. The standard ones are based on formula fed caucasian american babies. Breastfed babies grow differently than formula fed babies do.
What Star said! Did she drop completely off her "normal" curve from the first two weeks?
Very glad to hear that she's pooping again!
Well, she was
7lbs, 19.5" at birth.
7lbs 8oz, 19.5" at 2 weeks
9lbs 4.5oz, 21.9" today at 7 weeks old.
I found this
and it looks like she was just below 50th at birth a little further below the 50th at 2 weeks and just below the 15th for weight right now. That's IF google converted the lbs to kg correctly AND I read the chart right.
just above 50th at birth, just above 15th for 2 weeks, and just center between 15th and 50th today for height. Again, if converted correctly and read correctly.

The dairy issue could have inhibited her weight gain too. If she couldn't digest the dairy it could have effected how she was able to process the rest of the nutrients. Keep offering the boob and get the tongue tie looked at and I'm sure she will gain better!

My Ovulation Chart
To me it sounds like her tongue tie may be keeping her from shooting up to 90th percentile like your boys but her weight gain isn't worrisome. She is just gaining at her own pace. She's little in her other measurements as well, which makes me think she's doing just fine.
Yep, she may just be a smaller baby! I wouldn't worry, though I know that's hard to do. lol. I bet between the new diet and getting the tongue tie fixed will help things too, but I don't see any reason to panic by any means.
You're doing great mama!
I second that many babies are just smaller. My twins are both boys and both bf, and one twin is tiny. He has been in the less than 5% since he was 9mo or so, and barely above it before then (if I remember right). He is 22mo, and at 19mo was barely 20lbs, and only 15% for height. His brother is 25% weight, and at 19mo weight 24lbs, and 50% for height. They eat the same, if anything twin A eats much better than his larger brother. Different kids, different metabolisms. And they both started at the exact same weight, 5lbs 6oz.
Of course, having the tongue tie looked at may help too. But I wouldn't worry too much.
