Kaylin will sometimes refuse the bottle but once she realizes I'm not there to give her the BB's she'll gobble it down.
I sure hope something turns around soon!! Poor girly!
When DH had her he said she was fussy. Not alot but not like when I am home. When I am home she only cries when she is tired. It is like she is on strike until she just can not take it anymore and gives in at the end of the day. If only I could take her to work with me I really don't want to give her formula unless it is a last resort. I am hoping she comes around. I hope she does not drop weight, however she is over 15 lbs by now.
I agree about not giving formula until you have to but it sounds so unhealthy that she refuses to eat all day long while away from you. Just keep an eye on her weight and if you see a drop then I'd look into other options for her as far as eating goes.
That's just crazy! I mean, I've heard of nursing strikes before...but not all out refusing to eat anything. Guess it happens - Your Mama Milk is just THAT good Haha!
I am not sure if you already have but after a tough few weeks with Evan and what I thought was nipple confusion, I would strongly recommend contacting a LC in your area. We went to a bf support group at our hospital and it turns out he has been unlatching due to overactive letdown. They were very helpful and def. a great resource!
Yesterday at the sitters she ate 2 bottles! I guess she only wants it straight from the tap. Next step getting her to eat one more bottle.
Maybe it's just a hunger strike! The past couple of days Desiree hasn't been eating much at all. SO said she had maybe 4-6 oz all day. She nursed fine when I got home, but the night before she didn't want much of me at all... Hopfully she'll take a third bottle so you don't have to worry so much!
I havent gone to one either, but dont know if there is a LLL place around here. I'd be kinda nervous to go now that I only nurse her 1-2x per day and pump the rest since we have to put the cereal in her bottle.
