I know she'll go through a learning curve as she gets to know Erin's signals, but do you give them advance warning about those you know or just let them learn on their own?
    I agree with others:
    1) Give general guide lines of she eats about every X hours. She will typically do X when she is getting hungry.
    2) Heat the bottle with warm water or bottle warmer (no microwave, etc.). Also, it's okay to reheat BM one time if she doesn't finish a bottle (this is different from formula which should never be reheated).
    3) And, be sure that she knows not to shake, but rather to swirl the milk to combine the fat. Shaking just like with cream can create "butter" or "chunks" in the milk. Again, this is different from forumla which to mix is shaken.

    Good Luck!

Kaylin is a lite-weight. She usually only takes 3oz's per sitting and is content. Some days she'll go nuts and eat 5 oz's but that is rare. At her 2mo appt she was right about 11LBS...I bet she is near 12+ now. Little chunker!

As far as how much she eats, during the 8hrs she is with the sitter she will generally take about 12oz's. Give her take some! I nurse her in the AM before we leave the house and then at night! She still gets up around 3AM to nurse too.

For the daycare bottle advice - The other girls said it good. I let the sitter know about how much she ate, or at least how many times, and let her figure out a good schedule that worked. She just runs the bags of milk under warm water to heat up. I always leave a couple frozen bags in her freezer as backup too.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm nervous about leaving her...but I think it will all go ok. I just need to step back and let MIL handle it.

I didn't know you weren't supposed to shake the BM....I've been doing it all along! Oops!

Is it OK to take the Fenugreek & Blessed Thistle for extended periods of time?

I notice if I miss a couple days, I don't pump as much. So I know it's working but just wanted to make sure it was OK to take for awhile!

I was only pumping up to 8oz's in 8hrs (3 pump sessions) before and now with the same 3 sessions I can pump 12-15oz's. So it DID up it but that is also a combo of eating oatmeal for breakfast too I think!

I picked up some of the Organic Mother's Milk Tea -

    GAG ME!

The taste is horrible...I iced it down and chugged it. Not so sure about doing that 3x a day!

oh man Rebecca!! I think I'd stay away from that nasty stuff!!

I eat oatmeal too in the mornings and def. get a boost from that. I generally pump 10-12 without it and about 15oz with it in 3 sessions.

Im keeping up with her need for now and even have a little extra left over. I did have a lot left over but shes eating 5oz now 5-6x a day and daycare feeds her earlier then I do at home bc they swear shes hungry. Im hoping that she levels out soon and stays with the 5-6 bottles of 5oz each bc I dont want to get to the point where I cant put any away.
