Hey ladies, I haven't been around in a while, just super busy. We are still BFing here most of the time. I'm back at work, so when E is at daycare she does bottles of formula, but when we are home we BF. I am amazed that I'm able to go all day (6am-3pm) with out pumping and i'm still not having supply issues. I BF in the morning before school, then once we get home. I'm hoping that it will help her through the winter (and swine flu season..ugh) so that she won't get as sick. Hopefully my supply will keep up!!! Glad to see everyone else is doing great, hopefully I'll find time to be around more often!!!

I hate the hurt, I hate the pumping at work (takes so much time bc I have to go downstairs to the other side of the building to the nurses office and the door I use is unlocked and has a window on the door. The door is also right next to where the students lay down when they are sick so if they just happened to peak in there before laying down Id be out in my glory). Ugh, Im trying to take it day by day but sheesh this is getting old. I want my nips back with no pain. They are so red its terrible. Bras and shirts are killer rubbing up against them. I feel like they just never got used to it.
I got like this with DS, I HATED pumping, I hated everything about it. It ended up quitting and it was actually better for me and DS. Once I stopped I was able to focus more on DS with out the thoughts of pumping. He did great on formula and it was better for us both. So don't feel like you're a bad mama if you give it up. You have made it really far, and have done great for both of you.

I pumped nearly 9oz's this morning, 1 session! Woot, Woot
Yesterday, I got up and pumped 8 oz's...and then nursed Kaylin and still had some left over.

Maybe these herbs & oatmeal are FINALLY kicking in. Gosh, I hope so!

Wow, I can't believe what 1 day being short of water can do for the supply! Yesterday i just got busy doing endless things and realized by the end of the day that I'd only had 2 glasses of water all day (yeesh, I know, that's terrible...). Well all last evening I noticed my boobs were so SMALL (back to pre-preg size almost) and soft... and I actually had to feed grady from both boobs in a single session as he started fussing after jsut a couple of minutes on the first boob - obviously empty already. Amazing - that never happens when I drink my 8 glasses...

Enough said - I'd better go get a glass of water!!

I've also been downing the water today... soooo thirsty! I'm worried that my supply has dropped a bit, but I'm pumping like a mad woman & eating my oatmeal, so we'll see. I'm going to look into the fenugreek too

Im noticing that not being able to pump as much at work has made my supply take a huge dip for sure. I'm barely keeping up now and she isn't even eating that much. Im going to have to make more of an effort to eat the oatmeal for breakfast and drink the water so I can at least do what I can on my end. If I start supplementing with my stash any more its gonna go fast

I just ordered some Domperidone; I am just not pumping what I feel like I should be. I've tried all the other herbs/teas and I am not getting a boost anymore. So I hear this is a good alternative...$30 for 100 tablets. All the reasearch I've done says that there are little to no side effects while taking. And they recommend taking for 3-8wks to see the full benefit, then start weaning down one pill at a time.
