No, Rebecca, it's not silly. I was afraid of the same thing. My LC convinced me to try weaning off of it a little at a time. She said if I felt like I wasn't meeting the demand, returning to the higher dosage would bring it right back up, so there was no risk of running out of milk.

CONGRATS Rebecca! You have done an AMAZING job!!! I know everytime I dropped a pump my BBs would KILL for a few days, and then it went away. Just don't eat any oatmeal!!! LOL I had been done pumping for over a month and I had a bowl of oatmeal and they started killing and leaking! No more oatmeal for me for a while.

    Thanks girls!

And Tara - good tip. I had oatmeal yesterday, maybe that's why I was having some crazy leak issue. Lol!

It's bittersweet as you know to stop pumping. But it's amazing the extra time you have! I likey!

The pump is officially in the lake! I quit puming about a month ago. I have a huge freezer stash as she only took about 4oz at the sitters a day in the past few months. We are still BF morning, evening, night and full time on the weekends. We will switch to cows milk once she drinks the frozen BM. We tried cows milk and she took it no problems so I don't see any issues. I do not have a time frame to stop. I enjoy it and my big boobs!

I've cut out my lunch pump! I still pump on the way to work, and on the way home, but my lunches are officially mine again! Now if only it wasn't raining here... I could've gone for a walk to help lose these extra lbs!!! LOL

Well, I think that my supply is starting to go away. I guess it couldn't start to happen at a better time since M will be one next week. Typically after he nurses in the morning I pump and I've been using that milk for his cereal. Usually I can get 3-4oz right after he eats in the morning. The past two days I've been struggling to get 1-2...

I go through fluctuations in supply - especially when I have my period each month. But it comes right back again in a few days. It's not necessarily the end of your bf... just keep up the water etc and it'll probably pick up again.

It's a breath of fresh air! LOL I actually got to run some errands on my break! I also wouldn't worry too much about a dip. My supply seems to be all over the place, sometimes I can attribute it to my cycle, but not always! I'd say if you want to continue nursing, do so, I'm sure your body will produce what he needs, but you may just not be able to get much more

You know, Kirsten, I don't know what I didn't think of it! I always lose my supply during AF a bit and she is due any minute!
