I grabbed a regular Multi-Vitamin but forget to take it, I need to get better about taking it but my goodness it's a horse pill for sure.
As for the letdown, I get all tingy...It doesn't really hurt but it is uncomfortable.
I started taking the Blessed Thistle with the Fenugreek and I am eating oatmeal each morning. I can certainly tell a difference in my milk volume, especially in the mornings which tend to be my 'heavy' time.
This morning, I pumped 7 1/2 oz's in my first session. Kaylin is still ony eating about 12oz's a day...at the sitter's, and then I nurse her all evening/night. So she does eat more but just 12oz's while I'm at work. She's a little eater! But gaining good so I guess that's all that matters.
I keep hearing "Just wait 'till she has teeth"...It is SO ANNOYING. Just b/c she has teeth doesn't mean I will stop nursing.
My letdown isn't painful, but I can definately tell when it's happening. Also (Silly, I know) right before it happens I can literrally feel the oxytocin or whatever coursing through my veins because I actually feel a sense of euphoria. I think I remember that whatever causes letdown is the same hormone that makes you feel good while your excercising. It must be because I have serious giggle fest for about 2 seconds right before let down!! LOL
And I totally agree about bfing with teeth...I want to say "what's that got to do with it?" I BF Ruby until she was 1 and had molars! And I only got bit once!
I hope its just a growth spurt but man my lil eater was up almost every hour last night eating!! She was sleeping so good for the past couple weeks, Really the last thing I want is for my boobs to realize shes eating alot at night.........the engorgment when She stopped eating at night sucked, And its finally regulated.
Violet likes them more hard too. Even when they've been engorged she feeds best. It's funny how differant she and Ruby are.
Anyone's LO making sucking noises while they're eating? Basically Vi is de-latching almost every suck (especially when they're squishy) and I'm not sure why. I wonder if she needs to have that thing above her gums under her lip cut??? Her dad did so maybe that's it. I've heard women nursing babies like this usually have lots of pain while nursing but I don't even think I have any feeling anymore! LOL Any one have babies with this????
Yup, grady does that too. He makes incredibly loud sucking noises (my kids always comment on it.. 'he's eating like a piggy!') and he breaks his latch sometimes with every suck. when he does that, I try to totally reposition his head , both changing the position of his body across me, and how he approaches the boob. Sometimes I'm successful in stopping the bad sucking, at least for awhile. For us, I think it's partly to do with the fact that grady always pulls backwards a bit when he starts nursing, because he likes to have just the nipple in his mouth. Doesn't matter how many times we relatch, he keeps doing it. Now I've just given up on it, and since the nips have toughened up, I can handle it.
I also take a multivitamin (prenatal), fish oil, vit E, and green tea extract (since it's good for you but I hate the taste of it), and acidopholus.
I don't think Michael has been feeling well the past couple of days and I'm guessing it is because of his shots. But I've noticed yesterday and today what almost looks like chunks of milk in his bowel movements. Has anyone seen this in their LO's before???
