Curious?

So I'm curious how easy it was to get pregnant while nursing if you have BTDT?

I'm wondering if my DD will stop nursing soon? She's down to once a day before bed.

Apparently easier than I thought. Lol Took us 3 years to get Aiden! If your cycle is back (which it is if I'm not mistaken), your chances are good as anyone else with good timing. Just know that ovulation can be wacky for some and they won't ovulate at a normal for them time - so some cycles are long and some are short. Pesky hormones at play again! My cycle surprisingly enough came back more normal than it was before Aiden. Ha. I know Sara on our BB mentioned Oing early and her cycle just returned recently where she was ready far before this.

I think that its really woman-dependent. How long as AF been back? Is your cycle pretty similar to Pre-PG?

My cycles were textbook prior to getting PG with T. 28 days - O on day 14. Now they're anywhere between 26-32 days long and I'm not sure when I O because I haven't been temping. I'm pretty sure its somewhere around day 14 because that's when I see EWCM.

Thanks girls!

I got AF back at 6 months after DD was born, so it's been back for a year already. My cycles have always been irregular and seem to still be irregular so I'll have to temp and watch for EWCM too.

I got pg when DD was 16 mos and still nursing several times a day. And, it was only my second cycle PP. She is still nursing at 28 mos (finally down to once or twice a day at sleep times)...and I have a happy healthy 3 mos old little boy....so yeah...worked for us! And I don't temp ever- just watch my cm and periods.

Irregular cycles are the worst! Can't predict anything at all. Sad Hopefully you'll hit that magic moment soon!

When I'm not nursing CM is predictable for me so easier to tell when I'm Oing. When I'm nursing, it's much harder. I think I'll start temping tomorrow morning so I can better predict O.

Yep, they suck!

You know ... the alternative to charting and timing DTD is just to DTD like crazy all the time. Wink My DH agrees wholeheartedly with that TTC strategy.

I am finding it harder. We are on to cycle 4 of TTc, DS was conceived first cycle when I knew jack about when I o'd, charting etc. I truly think breastfeeding may be a contributing factor because looking at my charts when we dtd is similar to when DS was conceived. I do think I had a chemical pregnancy first mon th TTC but no early testing means no confirmation of that but I had some serious symptoms.

Well, we weren't TTC with DS3 or this bean on the way- it just kind of happened despite BFing. Granted, DS2 was 3 when DS3 was conceived and DS was a little over 2 when I got pregnant this time. My cycles were all over the place before this pregnancy though so avoiding was kind of difficult since I can't use birth control.

I'm curious to know how it would have worked out for us if we were actually TTC though.
