Help.....

I've been prescribed Reglan. What should I do? Has anyone else taken this before?

I never took it, but from what I know it can be a great help. It isn't indicated in patients with a history of depression since that can be one of the side affects. But unless you've had trouble with depression in the past it seems like a good fit.

Congrats on all your hard work :kaos3: :kaos3:

Yeah, the only side effects I read about it was the depression.

Funny enough, my doctor gave me a rx for Reglan when I was discharged from the hospital. I'd been taking it while at the hospital but I guess I didn't know about it. I'm assuming because I had gestational diabetes and to help with bowels after my c-section with constipation and everything? I filled the rx but haven't taken in. Figure I'll hold on to it if I have supply issues.

It's up and down now. I went to a LC that the WIC program provides for free and it was a nightmare. So my LO is petrified when I lay her in the position to nurse. I'm going to try doing a half day nurse in tomorrow. Also I'm going to try laying on my side and cuddling with her to see if she wants to nurse then. Pumping isn't going so great. But hand expressing is. Thanks for asking.

I responded to your other post as well.

So sorry you're struggling, I had a terrible time with my DD so I can relate to how this all feels - my heart goes out to you.

Reglan is ok. I took it with my DS#1. I found that when I stopped taking it my supply took a nose dive. I had to go back on it. Others have described the same thing.

So if you take it just be extra vigilant when you go off it about your supply.

The other medication that I took with better success is domperidone or motilium. I did that with DS#2 and was much happier with the results.

GL - and please KUP.
