Hypoplasia/Chronic Low Supply?
Does anyone else here have experience with chronic supply issues?
I've been a Mother to Laszlo, age 1 month. My Mother is a former la leche league leader and planning on sharing an extended breastfeeding relationship before he was born was a natural decision.
We've struggled with severe supply issues since birth that aren't remedied by pumping or herbs. I was just diagnosed with hypoplasia and we're working with an IBCLC on developing a routine that involves lots of time at the breast and supplementing with love. The process has been quite tough and I've not felt particularly supported through it - I've dealt with some very dirty looks while buying formula at the natural foods store (we're fortunate at the moment to be working on some donated milk sourced through HM4HB) and others close to me suggesting my supply issues are somehow caused by a lack of will or trying (they're not!).
Anyone else have first-hand experience?
