When baby gets teeth, do they bite you? nope. My first got teeth at 10 m and the second at 4 m and I've never been bitten. their teeth might rub though w hen they get them in for a bit until they get their latch worked out.
How long did you BF? First DD 33 months, second DD 14/15 months. DS is almost 3 months. I tandem nursed DD1 and DD2 for 7 months, plus BF my entire second pregnancy and the first about 15 weeks or so of my third.
Is one year best, or did you go longer? Personally I believe in letting them wean themselves, which both of my girls did. I did a little bit of gentle weaning for my first, but she 100% decided it was time to be done and gave it up.
Did your supply dry up once you introduced baby food/solids, or when they required more milk (5-6oz per feeding)? Nope, and like others said, they don't really drink more. My first took a bottle of BM about once a day and never drank more than 4/5 oz at a time. You nurse FIRST before solids too. Food is just for "fun" and an added bonus. It shouldn't make you cut back the amount of nursing you do until a year (or over a year depending on your baby)
Will I become engorged once baby sleeps through the night, and if so, do I need to set an alarm to pump to make sure that doesn't happen? Depends on you. But I wouldn't set an alarm. It will even out after the first few nights.
Did baby even sleep through the night while BF, because I heard that BM doesn't fill them up as well and even at 6 and 7 months they'll still be waking up to eat? My first didn't STTN for a LONG time. and I had to 'make' her do it. My second STTN around 10months old, but she wasn't as into nursing as the first. A lot of it just depends on your baby and their temperament I think.
When baby gets teeth, do they bite you? DD is a biter, but she bites when she's teething, not any other time. She obviously does it because it feels good to her- she just doesn't get that it hurts me. I've tried every trick in the book to make her stop, and none of it has worked. I just deal.
How long did you BF? She is almost 21 mos and we're still nursing. I have always said I will let her self-wean.
Is one year best, or did you go longer? I agree with what someone else said, if you need a goal, say "at least 1 year"... then when you get there, you can see if you feel like you can keep going or quit. Definitely no denying, the longer you go, the better for baby.
Did your supply dry up once you introduced baby food/solids, or when they required more milk (5-6oz per feeding)? I have never had an issue with supply for any reason, ever.
Will I become engorged once baby sleeps through the night, and if so, do I need to set an alarm to pump to make sure that doesn't happen? Every now and then I would wake up full- most often just on one side, if DD had nursed more from the other side during the night. But it was never really painful.
Did baby even sleep through the night while BF, because I heard that BM doesn't fill them up as well and even at 6 and 7 months they'll still be waking up to eat? Yeah, DD doesn't STTN yet. I wish she did. But she doesn't. I will be night-weaning her before my second baby is born, so we'll see if anything changes then. She has recently been sleeping longer stretches on her own though (like 5 hours).
