Quick eater?

So lately Trystan has been finishing BF within about fifteen minutes, feeding off of both sides. When he was first born and weeks thereafter, it took him a good forty-five minutes to feed on both sides. Do you think he's just getting the hang of things better now, or that his sucking reflexes have improved, or maybe my supply is not what it used to be? He seems to be full after I feed him, as he's not fussing around or anything. I just can't believe the time difference now. Any thoughts?

Normal! Smile If he's not fussing or showing that he's hungry in any way, I'd be happy and not worry. They get to be very efficient. At one point my son had nursing down to 3-4 minutes total (we only did one boob a session up until 12 months and now he wants both ). It's one of those things that every baby is different, so as long as there's plenty of wet diapers and the baby is happy you assume that all is going great. Biggrin

Yuppers! My DD also was always only a one-side feeder, and she would be DONE within 10 minutes. When she was young, I would get comments from my mom friends like, "She's done already? That's it?" And it was like, well yeah... I can't make her eat any more... she's popping off and falling asleep or just popping off and not going back for more... I think she's done! We're still nursing and have had a very successful relationship... so I would try to just not worry about it!

Thanks for the advice girls! He eats on both sides every time, as one will drain and he'll get mad so I'll put him on the other side to get full. All in all he's full and done in ten to fifteen minutes. I just wanted to make sure that was normal lol!
