I have been giving DS a supplement bottle of formula at bedtime since he was born b/c he had slow growth issues and that satisfied everybody. I've pumped at that time knowing that when he's away from me I never make enough so it's been good for the stash. I currently have more than enough milk pumped to make it to the 1 year mark when we are apart as he currently is going to a daycare at my work campus and I am nursing him. My MIL was watching him 2 days a week, but won't be doing that for at least 9 weeks due to surgery. So. . .I'm at the point that I don't need to pump and he's gaining weight just fine eating food and nursing that the bedtime bottle probably isn't needed, but I'm afraid that stopping the formula will effect his nighttime sleep (although lately that's not great either.) How would you handle it? Just bite the bullet and stop the bottle, or nurse first then offer a bottle on top of the nursing at bedtime? I know if I dont pump I have to nurse him or I will be very uncomfortable if he decides to STTN.
