The end seems nearer than it did.

DD (17m) is a boob fiend. She LOVES nursing. She demands it. She doesn't care what else is going on or who else is around- if she wants to nurse, I'd better get it out quickly or else she will go after it herself!

I figured it would be difficult when the time came for weaning. (I'm ok if she wants to stop sooner, but I'll encourage her to wean at 24m if she's still going at that point. Did the same for DD1.)

This past week, though, she's not nursing as frequently, it seems. She still demands to nurse first thing in the morning (and throughout the day if I'm home) but has nearly dropped her evening/before bed session.

I worked this weekend (12hr shifts) and she went almost 48hrs without nursing (Friday morning to Sunday morning), then another 24hrs after that. I think my supply is fine, but I wonder if she's starting to wean herself.

No real point to this post. Just wanted to share!

We are still going strong. Night weaned, again.... Just in time for her to catch the flu. Last night I nursed her twice throughout t the night. I am hoping we go back quickly when she's fully recovered. Because she was sick, she also increased her day time sessions. 5 plus tonnes a day and twice at night... We will see what next week does for us. :lol:

Brad loves bfing still and is no where near weaning but I'm still up in the air with Kay. I swear she only wants it because brad has it and she's all over the place the whole time! If she stays with only nursing in the morning will you continue or cut that out too? Sometimes I know I want to continue to at least 2 yrs and then other times I feel done. But for now we are still going strong!

Yeah, I'll continue with morning nursing if that's all she wants. She's pretty insistent on those AM times, at least for now.

Just wanted to update- yeah, she's still going (closing in on 19m). It was just a short phase..

Though she nurses frequently, it's not as difficult to get her to stop a nursing session (usually), if it's time to put her down for bed, for instance.

So yep, haven't weaned yet. Eh, I'm not in a hurry. :)
