    Default Funny story

(I rarely post on this board but lurk from time to time.. Hello to my fellow Sept 2011 mamas!)

So DD2 is 16m, and has gotten so particular about nursing. She will ask to nurse (signs "milk" and says "nuh"), and if I'm not quick enough, she'll start lifting up my shirt for me, lol. She'll be eating on one side, then sit up and ask to nurse again. At first I was confused- you stop nursing to ask to nurse? What the heck?- But I quickly figured out when she does that, she wants the OTHER boob. I get that one out and she happily resumes eating.

    Maybe they have different flavors?

    Toddlers are strange.

Evie is repeating gestures and actions of words she just learned. "HA-AT" and takes the doll's hat off and hands to to me to put back on. OVER AND OVER... it's a learning thing. She's proud of her new word(s).. Perhaps it's the same with Ellie?

Oh.. and our cute nursing communication is, Evie will come over and lift her arms and say "Up EE?" and I'll pick her up and she'll assume the position and nod her head with her eyes locked on mine and her eyebrows raised as if to say "yes, you will nurse me" like she's trying to brainwash me with her Jedi mind tricks. I use the word "Nurses". If I'm not quick, she'll try and get access by moving my shirt.

When she's done, she sits up and grabs the nursing pad that is beside me (yeah, I still use them) and covers the nipple with it.

Hah, so helpful! Putting her food away. :P

She does repeat some things as she's learning them, but in this case when she sits up and asks to nurse, if I offer the one she was just on, she shakes her head NO and asks again till I uncover the other one.

    Goofball.
