Default I think she may have weaned...

Morgan hasn't asked to nurse in three days. She was down to nursing only during the middle of the night 1-2 times. I was nursing her if she asked, but didn't offer. She started skipping days a few weeks ago and then was sick last week so was nursing consistantly and hasn't asked the last three days. It is bitter-sweet because she is my last baby. I never thought I would nurse this long though...almost 2 years

Has your LO stopped nursing for a period of time this late and then started up again? I am thinking I would try and redirect her if she asked. I can't have much milk in there. I feel pretty much dried up...lol

Wow!!! How do you feel? Are you ok with it? Or...

Gosh its crazy to think they just stop on their own one day! Dalton has never missed a beat yet, so I don't know? I mean, would they strike at this age?

    AH!!!
    I'm back, baby.

I am OK with it, but sad too because I know I will never nurse again (unless I am one of the "1 of 1,000 per year" that get preggo after the big V...lol). I can't imaging it being a strike, but you never know! I really didn't think she would stop on her own. I thought I would have to force the issue eventually. OK, getting teary-eyed here.....blah

It's that silver lining in the sadness of ending the nursing relationship!

Congrats on making it to 2 years! You've given her a irreplaceable gift and you'll always be able to look back and cherish it. I'm at the point where I'd be OK if DD up and quit but I'm sticking it out until she weans on her own (or at least without more than a tiny bit of encouragement). That was my ultimate goal and I'm sticking to it. I'm planning on doing it all over again one more time though. I guarantee you it'll be a different story when my next and final baby weans.
