My DD has a few words but so far hasn't decided that she's ready to talk much (with real words, she "talks" constantly). Her method of asking for boob has always been to smack me in the chest. Fun. She does communicate quite clearly using a few baby signs so I decided a few weeks ago to teach her to sign for it and just in the past day she's actually using it without prompting! Yay! I bet she'll start saying it next week

That's great!I was so excited when Aiden started signing milk. Of course last week he decided that just latching on through my shirt was the best way to "sign" for milk.
With luck Teagan won't be as frustrating as Aiden. lol

That's great!
Olivia was pulling down my shirt until I taught her the word "nurse". She's very verbal but most words only mommy and daddy understand. "nurse" can be understood by everyone though! LOL!

Funny! Beni learned the sign for nurse pretty early on- it was one of the first she learned, and she used it CONSTANTLY...BUT, she won't use it anymore- not for a long time, and has started pulling my shirt down, or poking me pretty hard in the boob. Lovely. Funny how they go through phases. The word I use for nursing is "piens" (milk in Latvian), because it's the only milk she drinks anyway... and at one point she was trying to kind of say it...but, she gave up on that too. Sigh.
