Default American Apparel mannequins now have pubic hair!

Story, some very interesting comments, and photos, can be found here:

American Apparel Now Have Mannequins With Quite A Lot Of Pubic Hair

At this time, this phenomena appears to be only occurring at the NYC store, but perhaps mannequins at other American Apparel stores will be sprouting some bush in the near future. Your thoughts?

I have to say, I love this comment: "I'm gonna go ahead and admit that the full bush mannequin is the only thing American Apparel has ever done that I approve of."

SO, DD1, and I talked about this. Our comments included, "Do you think people will see that and think, 'I wonder if I will look as good as the mannequin if I buy those panties?'"

It's just a social media ploy that is working!

I would not be offended, but I do think it is kind of gross.

Yeah, I'm not offended, and I don't shop there anyway, but looking at mannequins with pubic hair does not exactly entice me to buy clothing. In fact, it more conveys the idea that these are unrealistic clothes on unrealistic bodies...or judging by the photo, just ugly underwear.

Maybe this means we are moving back to a regular body ideal and less of a pre-pubescent one?

    Oh, I sincerely doubt it.
