The definition includes homosexual marriage now. Your definition is a religious one and should have no bearing on the laws of the US.

You didn't say "state" definitions. You said definition. I quoted a common reference for the definition of marriage. There is no caveat that says "but not in Texas"
Still doesn't make it right Gloria. Back not that long ago it was on the law books to keep slaves and keep people segregated by color. People realized that was not fair and not equal. This will happen for LGBT in our lifetimes as well thank God!
Who said anything about sub human? But yes, I do think that if you would seek to deny your fellow citizens equal rights and protections under the law, you are a bigot. I won't apologize for that. However, bigots are people too. I certainly don't think they are less than human.
I think the US federal govt should just legalize SSM and get on with things. So stupid - legal in this state but not in this one. Aren't there real issues that need attention other than making sure nobody with the same chromosomes wed? Ridiculous and futile waste of time. Anyone who actively tries to prevent SSM needs to worry more about their own life and less about the lives of others and realize nobody's taking away their rights by bestowing them on gays.
