Kidding! I do wear bikinis. Because I am loose and wanton and throw my genitals at passing strangers and teach my young daughter to do the same.

But I don't really get abortions for fun.

The mirena was a (literal) nightmare for me ending in a surgical removal. After getting pregnant while exclusively breastfeeding and cosleeping and LAM and all that hippy crap after my first I was terrified to get pregnant after my second so went with it ~ endured almost a year of spotting and pain and kept telling myself to suck it up because I was afraid to have it removed and get pregnant (I skeeve condoms and was nursing/couldn't use the BCP)......wish so much I had had it removed before it went and implanted into my cervix Listen to your body if that bugger is giving you issues, Lisa!

Tons of my friends husbands have vasectomies as they are done, very common around here. Tell him to man up! You gave birth twice for petes!
I remember so clearly crawling into the doctor's office, begging her to take the paragard out, only to be told 'sorry, come back on day 3 of your next period and then we'll take it out'. Something about my cervix needing to be favourable for removal. I cried. No pain could have been worse than what I was experiencing. When I finally had it removed I felt instant relief. I went back on bcp and was okay. Then my OB suggested Mirena to help with endo pain, seeing as it would probably stop my periods. So far I'm passing clots and have this intense SI joint pain in my lower back - like i'm being impaled on a hot skewer or something. Just like with the paragard. I guess me and IUDs just don't mix. I'll give it another month or two, but I think my body just hates it and its gotsta go.

Though, all this time I just figured (don't know why) you were done having kids and then you go and drop that interesting little thing about maybe one more. But like you're Fertile Myrtle so just stay on those bcp's until you decide!

Ohhh, yes. I have adenomyosis, which is like endo's stepsister, and its very evil. Sounds exactly like you describe. Continuous BCP is totally controlling it, changed my life. It popped up out of no where after having easy breezy cycles my entire life, totally bizarre.

And who knows. The smart and easy thing to do would be done ~ I love our B/G/B set up and how close they are, so we are probably done. Then again it might be fun to be home with a snuggly baby when they are all off at school Who knows. Probably done (after all I have a golf game to get back to!), but there is always that chance we do something impulsive

I have my tubes tied. I have had a TON of complications so I do not know if I would recommend that so someone else or if I am just unlucky. I know many people have it done without complications. When I was first married I was on OrthoTriCycline (Unsure of the spelling again). That did not go well either. I gained a lot of weight while on it and also got pg and miscarried while taking it. I had a lot of guilt from that experience and never wanted to take it again. After Brianna was born I went on the dipovera shot (sp) for 1 year. I pretty much had my period all the time and no sex drive. In the end I think there is no perfect BC option for us.

My OB wants to re-tie my tubes because I have been pg and miscarried since having my tubes tied but I do not think that is the answer. I am going to a different GYN (does not do babies) doctor on the 26th to see if we can find out what is wrong and what to do about it. (I consistently get faint positive pt and I am lactating even though my youngest is 3 1/2 and am for sure not pg.)

Best of luck finding what is right for you.

Have to agree. I must regain my title of 'Ladies Long Drive' winner. It's how I take out my frustrations. Golf. Nothing feels better than cracking that little ball so far I can't see it. Though I end up like Happy Gilmore lots of times. Just raging, and then my game just falls apart.

I am on the mini pill right now as I am nursing. I love it cause for some reason my period stays away as long as I am on it. With the other two I switched to the regular pill at 6 months and got my period back, with this one I am still period free! Yay!

Usually I take the regular pill and have had no problems. In a few years DH will probably have the snip once we decide for sure we are done having babies. However we know a couple of men who have had crazy, painful complications from it, so........we will see.

Had my tubes tied in Sept 2003. Don't recommend it to anyone! When they did it, i woke up as they were pulling the breathing tube out of my throat. The recovery was complete hell on me. I had less pain and aggravation when i had my breast reduction done and thats major surgery. My cycles used to be like clockwork, now they are so screwed up. I went 3 months at one point with no AF, they could never give me an answer why. The cramps are horrendous. I've already had one ovarian cyst that burst (i was at work at the time).

Dh got snipped in Sept, in Dec they told him he still had swimmers, more swimmers in Jan, and then last week they said there were none left. I am so freaked out about getting pregnant again. I feel like with 3 kids we only visited crazy town sometimes. Now I feel like the mayor of crazy town. It is wild at our house most of the time
