If you were to say "All people who do not believe in homosexual marriage are bigots", would be calling several people on this board a disrespectful name because you do not share their same viewpoints. I am fairly sure you will not change anyone's POV through calling them names.

I love when you compare gay people to Chippendale dancers. I don't see Chippendale dancers as a protected group.

And again, I didn't call anyone on this board a bigot. I said they/you are engaged in bigotry against homosexuality--in one facet of their/your lives.

Kind of like you didn't call anyone a fag. You just said that the act of practicing homosexual sex is wrong. In other words, gay people aren't all "fags", but they engage in the immorality of homosexual sex.

You are not all bigots, but you engage in the immorality of bigotry against homosexuals.

    Interesting choice.

Um, that's a job, not an orientation. That's more like occupational profiling than bigotry.

So it's just ANY name? I'm trying to understand the issue. Is it that you think bigot is a bad word like f**k is a bad word, or that ANY name-calling in general is rude? (The latter makes more sense to me personally.)

Can't you join facebook like a normal person in the 21st century?
Since I was last here, I got a divorce. AND I'm pregnant again. Which is really why I'm back. My life has been like the Maury Povich show, so I try to avoid the general public in that scenario. I don't know how frequent I will be since I am studying for the ordination board in April, and I have about 40 books left to read. But I love you guys.

That calling anyone a name is rude. That calling someone a bigot for their beliefs is no less rude than calling others dumb losers for theirs.
