You seem to know a lot about that so I won't disagree with you as I don't. Most people I know would compare cigarettes to stripping......not pot. Cigarettes are legally accessible to anyone of age.....like strippers. Stripping is legal for anyone of age.....like cigarettes. That makes both much more of a "gateway" drug of choice than pot.

Marijuana is much more difficult to legally obtain ........ these days it is easier in some states due to medical marijuana laws.....but the hoops that one has to jump through rather precludes the "gateway" kids. IMO, anyway.

But again, you seem way more informed about this stuff than me, so I guess I will just leave it up to the expert!

I mean, pot is a gateway to people trying harder core stuff like coke, crakc, meth.

Stripping is a gateway to people getting into harder core porn (going by the titles and descriptions in the link).

Yes, I know what you meant.

I'm going to venture to say that I think she was doing stripping or escorting before this. I compare it to pot.
    And my reply addressed it.

If she had been honest with them when they asked, they probably could have moved her to another job in the state.
I asked DH, and he said that he did not sign a "morality clause" to become a teacher. Even if he had, again, I can't imagine how it would apply to things he did legally before he was even a teacher, but he didn't. On the other hand, when I told him about the case, he did say that it would be next to impossible for her to continue teaching because of the lack of respect in the classroom.

Wow, just read the rest of this debate.

Kim, thank you for reminding people to get back to debating (are you sure you don't want to be a mod again? Secretly, in your heart of hearts? ) Everyone else, thanks for clearing your miscommunications up, apologizing, and getting back to the debate yourselves. Good stuff.

As for the actual debate, yeah, after reading Melissa's update, I'm cool with her not getting her job back. Sheesh!
