LOL because you ignored all the other examples. What about before there were stop signs.. and what about what color you paint your house?

Painting my house? What? I don't remember that coming up. Just so you know, many places have laws on what color you paint your house. Historical areas will tend to say you can paint subdued colors and not bright colors or colors that were not found during the time period the house exists.
I haven't ignored anything. The stop sign didn't always exist but we needed them to prevent chaos and injury. That's why using a document, which was written by man ages ago is not the document I want to go on to form current laws. It's similar to saying, we didn't need stop signs in 1856 so we clearly don't need them now.
I've totally lost track of this debate over the last few days. I may go back and reread at some point.
